Greetings!

Looking at all the AR/1911/Polymer-Striker Specials has me lusting over what could have been, including:

- A 5-shot .32 Auto DA or SA pocket revolver sized smaller than a J-frame, but bigger than an NAA Mini. Essentially a modern version of classic Iver Johnson .32. Even a .22 LR NAA Mini scaled up to .32 acp (w/ optional .32 S&W extra cylinder) would work perfect, and would compete against the P32/P3AT/LCP crowd. North American Arms, are you listening?

- A US made replica of the Soviet PSM, available in both 5.45x18mm and .25 Auto, with perhaps an ambi-safety added. Cor-Bon could produce nice & hot 5.45 rounds with both FMJ and controlled expansion JHP loads. Something about these guns has always fascinated me.

- A modern replica of the classic Lancaster 2 and 4 barreled DAO sidearms of the Victorian era in .45 Colt/.44 Special/.44-40. Bond Arms, are you listening?

A man is allowed to dream, isn’t he??? :)

Take Care,

Hunter

I wanted the pre-war Colt Woodsman introduced at the 2007 shot show by USFA.

Guess that is never going to happen!

These are things I'd be interested in seeing that didn't come out yet:

- Glock single stack 9mm
- Duty sized Kel-tec 9mm or .40
- 5" barrel version of Ruger SR9
- modern Ruger 9mm carbine

Like paintballdude I'm just wishing broader availability of Kel-tec firearms in general too. I would REALLY like to get my hands on a PMR-30 at something resembling MSRP. Wouldn't mind getting a Sub-2000 or KSG either if the price was right. I sometimes wonder if they ever actually make anything besides PF9's and P3AT's though :).

Bren Ten anyone? I'd take kinetic hammer to a few thousand rounds of 40 S&W if that one ever happened.

Also wish RRA would announce for this year that indeed the 1911 Poly was and is vaporware but that they'll finally reintroduce their original line up of traditional 1911 offerings.

One more thing I'd like to have seen introduced, a 6" flashlight that doesn't retail for $149.95 I know, too much to ask.

A Ruger 10-22 style carbine chambered in 5.7X28 would be really nifty. Especially the takedown version.

Ruger Camp Carbine setup to accept common pistol magazines like XD, M&P, etc.

S&W Shield without the manual safety.

S&W revolvers without the internal lock.

Subcompact version of the XDm.

Sig 239 all stainless.

The PSM

Me too!

Per MGMORDEN [ "These are things I'd be interested in seeing that didn't come out yet:

I agree with everything EXCEPT the single stack Glock. Glocks are dangerous enough without being small enough to fit into a pocket without a holster or some sort of safety or trigger covering.

Glock 36-10, a pistol the size of the 36 but chambered in 10mm, carrying 7+1. I'd buy one for carry in a heartbeat.

There was a prototype at one point of something like that:

A SP101 with an enlarged cylinder window, chambered in .44 Special, with a 5 shot cylinder, DA/SA and DAO options, and 2 1/4" and 3" options.

Not exactly what you're looking for, but Taurus (yeah, yeah, I know) has a .380 revolver that's a touch smaller than a J-frame...

Don't laugh, but I thought I just saw some nice flashlights in the Frontgate catalog that ran about $40-$70...

Scandium J frame 9mm with 547 type extractor

G36 with slimmed and extended grip for more rounds.

This would be cool, but past threads here have indicated that it can't be done on the SP frame.

Easy on a GP frame, though.

But, so long as we are wishing, the LCR is perfect for scaling up a bit to accommodate the .44 Special round. I love the idea of a 5-shot revolver using the LCR's cam lockwork, a 2 3/4" (a la speed six) tube, and a charter-ish (or even skinny model 12 K-frame) sized frame coming in around 19 oz.

With the cushy grip and frame flexion, I bet that low pressure .44 push would be a pussy cat, even with the gun below 20 oz and modern loads.

Get on it, Ruger. I don't care if the prototyping of the frame is expensive: there are buyers out there for such a beast.

Single stack 9mm CZ. It would have a steel frame and be 7+1. Essentially a slimmed down version and shrunken CZ-85, it would come in a standard SA/DA model and a decocker model. Both would be fully ambidextrous.

They could call it the CZ-13S and CZ-13SD and sell a million in a week.

A Webley copy in 9mm Parabellum and .45 ACP (and made to take the pressures).

A Smith & Wesson DA Frontier replica in .357 magnum (and made to take the pressures).

A new production Luger, possibly with a larger capacity magazine and drop-safety.

A stainless steel CZ-75BD and PCR.

.22 LR conversion for the Kel-Tec PMR-30.

I'll second the request for a Lancaster Pistol replica and single-stack CZ-75 (my wife has trouble with most double-stack guns due to having short fingers).

Like the man said, we can dream, can't we?

This may or may not meet your idea of acceptable fit and finish, but...
http://frontierfirearms.ca/index.php/norinco-m93-woodsman-22lr.html

Personally I'm only interested in COLT Woodsman series .22:s, but at one point I seriously considered getting one of those for plinking.
Thanks for that link! I had never heard of such a thing. I am a Colt Woodsman enthusiast and have owned five of them but would love the chance to buy one of these Norinco's just for the curiosity factor. I'll have to work on that.

I would still pay lots of good money to purchase a new build, high quality Colt Woodsman. I think they would easily sell every one. As long as they were built to the orgina'ls standards or better.

I wish Ruger would bring back the Redhawk with 5 1/2" barrel in 45 Colt.

I wish Colt bring back the 22 single actions.
