I came a cross a website yesterday that had a break down of all the factory mods through out production of the glocks. And I forgot to save it. Does any body know that website or similar? It showed how the extractor changed during manufacturing, 3 pin verse 2 pin etc, etc. and it showed pics of the differences. I googled that last hour trying to save it and I wasn't on my labtop so I couldn't go in my history and find it. All I remember that it was 3 pages of Info.

For additional info on anything and everything Glock, you might want to try the glocktalk.com website.

Yes everything you'd ever need to know about Glocks you'll find at Glocktalk, but remember if you have another gun especially a 1911 you think is as good as a glock keep it to yourself.

Lol. That's funny olderguns.

Ku4hx. That helped. Does anybody know how to tell if its 3 pin or 2 pin? I'm not a glock guy. But I have 2. I just shoot them and clean them. But I'm looking for a slide stop that's extended and they said there are 2 styles. And I'm not sure what one I have. It's a older gen 3 22

If it's a three-pin, it has three pins... lol

Two above the trigger, one on the back strap.

The two-pin models have one pin above the trigger, one pin on the back strap.

Very few Glocks have two pins. Only early Gen1 17's had two pins. But as was said, it's easy to tell. They added the "First Pin" to better secure the locking block. This is the small pin above the large one above the trigger. This is the first pin you remove when breaking down and the first one installed when reassembling. Out from the left in from the right!

I get it now. When I google the pics of the 3 pin glocks. It only showed 2 above the trigger. That what was confusing me. I did not know the 3rd was on the back strap.

I own a Gen2 17 that's a two pin and the original frame on my model 23 was a two pin Gen2. Glock replaced the model 23's Gen2 frame with a Gen3 frame about five years ago.

Gen2 guns were first introduced in 1988; my G17 was purchased on 02/01/1998. The third picture down, on the right, shows a two pin Gen2 17 just like mine.

I think you'll find quite a few two pin Gen2 Glocks out there.

9mm Glocks only had two pins all the way until sometime in 2002 - encompassing 1st, 2nd, and 3rd Gen Glocks.

Check back through your browser history. Unless you dump it on exit, the web page should be listed there.

Are you trying to determine if you have an extended slide stop, or which version of the extended slide stop you have?

I was going to order one. I had to make sure if it was 3 pin or 2 pin. Know I know it's a 3 pin. Not I'm looking into caliber swaps for it. If I knew it was that easy. I woulda owned glocks for years.
