Sig P238 Owners: What's your take?

By far the best of the little .380ACP pistols at the range. but bottom line: Its size and weight generally mean if I can hide it, I could carry my Kahr PM40.

If you really want a cocked and locked sub-compact I'd suggest the Sig P938, but again the same applies, if they came out with a P940, maybe I'd consider retiring the PM40.

I have one and one thing that is a problem for me is they hate hollow points. You can shoot ball but hollow points jam up every few rounds. I am using Speer gold dots.

It shouldn't have a problem with hollowpoints, I'd try another brand or two and if it still won't run I'd contact Sig to have them look at the gun.

Just got my P238 (HD - I wanted all metal) a couple of weeks ago and although I haven't shot it yet, I love it already. It is a sturdy and tight gun. I swapped the grips for the Hogues. Suggested upgrade.

I opted for the P238 over the P938 simply because I didn't want any more size at all, no matter how negligible. Just me. I also believe, from my research, that a FMJ 380 with proper placement will be just as effective as an 9MM.

Now I love my 9s, I just wanted as small a gun as possible...
