Last night, or rather, this morning, I gave away a prize in the "Trivia" thread in General Discussion.

The prize is a still life painting of the Trivia winners gun of their choosing, done by me (Art Minor, Truman State University) and mailed to his home.

What do you guys think about me painting your guns for a fee, or auctioning off painting of guns that win in a poll of favorites, and keeping only the money I need for supplies and donating the rest to the NRA? I get kept in paint and canvas, the rest goes to help funding our RKBA.

I'll ask the owner of the painting I'm starting today (he's asked for an AK pistol!) to post a pic of it when he gets it. That way you guys can get an idea if my credentials. You'd have a one of a kind that would accent the man cave:)

Let me know your thoughts, or feel free to ask questions.

I'd want a painting, so long as it didn't cost me more than the gun.:) Sounds like a good idea. I'd also like to see that painting of the AK pistol.

Nope, enough to cover cost of materials and we can all decide on the amount after that that gets donated.

I start the AK today. It just dumped snow overnight, so I got to trudge out to get canvas, pencil, paint here after a bit.

Can you show us some examples from your portfolio?
I'll track down some stuff; most of its at my fathers house and my wall paintings are Mario themed for my fiancé.

I'll have the AK painting posted for sure. If you guys like it, I'll do more. If not, no loss.

Unless you want to see Mario?

The Donation

Either charity, or NRA. Your choice.

Send a check made out to the charity or NRA, you guys know I'm not pocketing the money, and I can forward it to the donate fund on your behalf.

That way, its a tax write off for everyone who participates. Not me.:)
