Just three months into Hussein Obama's first term Homeland Security warned the nation's law enforcement about “right wing extremists” and the threat that they may pose to the government.

It lumped in people who are one or more of pro second amendment, anti abortion, anti illegal immigration, or pro smaller government with white supremacists and domestic terrorists. But there was more:

"the return of military veterans facing significant challenges reintegrating into their communities could lead to the potential emergence of terrorist groups or lone wolf extremists capable of carrying out violent attacks."

A Libertarian-type ex-cop has followed the trend to date and noted that the Federal government has been portraying potential domestic terrorists as including such charachteristics:

•Expressions of libertarian philosophies (statements, bumper stickers)
•Second Amendment-oriented views (NRA or gun club membership, holding a CCW permit)
•Survivalist literature (fictional books such as "Patriots" and "One Second After" are mentioned by name)
•Self-sufficiency (stockpiling food, ammo, hand tools, medical supplies)
•Fear of economic collapse (buying gold and barter items)
•Religious views concerning the book of Revelation (apocalypse, anti-Christ)
•Expressed fears of Big Brother or big government
•Homeschooling
•Declarations of Constitutional rights and civil liberties
•Belief in a New World Order conspiracy

Remember that VA Hospital doctors started asking vets if they ever feel angry and whether they own a gun, and positive answers can have their arms confiscated and get them on the NICS list as being mentally incompetent with little opportunity of appeal.

Will ex-SEAL sniper/author Chris Kyle's (and another's) murder by a vet he was trying to help (in evil Texas of all places) be the next element of the Hussein Obama administration's anti-gun, anti-veteran, propaganda? It's already been run up the flagpole...

It is this morning's AP Radio News headline and HuffPost front-page!

'American Sniper' Killed at Gun Range
Former Navy SEAL Chris Kyle, who wrote a best-selling book about his service in Iraq, was shot to death at a Texas gun range Saturday

I believe the VA primary care doctor's questions were in response to high suicide rates among returning veterans. I'm not sure about right or wrong, but it is better than what was available for Vietnam Vets. Do you remember the headline term, "Drug Crazed Vietnam Veteran....?"

I see. Coop, do you ever feel angry? And do YOU own a gun by any chance!? We're just curious and here to help you.

I was just saying what the reason they started asking the question. I did not say I supported the way it was done, I only mentioned that there was nothing on place for returning vets during VN. In regard to veterans, I think part of the problem is an addiction to the adrenalin rush you get in combat. Are you trying to recreate that feeling?

Nothing to do with mental health or the V.A. Google for the USDHS page that specifies "persons of interest" as potential terrorists. You and me. Again, sad for the V.N. guys that came home to no support, but this is totally unrelated.

Going off topic a bit but let me be more precise and post this from an Aug 2010 Veterans Today article...

"Last month, at my VA med visit ,they asked me exactly the same questions [posed to a friend] and I asked them why they never asked them before and their answer was that it is a new policy that they must ask all vets!

From a Vietnam Vet and retired Police Officer:

I had a Doctor’s appointment at the local VA clinic yesterday and found out something very interesting that I would like to pass along. While going through triage before seeing the doctor, I was asked at the end of the exam, three questions:
1. Did I feel stressed?
2. Did I feel threatened?
3. Did I feel like doing harm to someone?

The nurse then informed me, that if I had answered ‘yes’ to any of the questions, I would have lost my concealed carry permit as it would have gone into my medical records and the VA would have reported it to Homeland Security.

Looks like they are going after the vets first. Other gun people like retired law enforcement will probably be next. Then when they go after the civilians, what argument will they have? Be forewarned and be aware.

The Obama administration has gone on record as considering veterans and gun owners potential terrorists. Whether you are a gun owner veteran or not, you’ve been warned. If you know veterans and gun owners, please pass this on to them. Be very cautious about what you say and to whom.

The Constitution is not an instrument for government to restrain the people, it is an instrument for the people to restrain the government, lest it come to dominate our lives and interests. -Patrick Henry

The rights of the individuals are restricted only to the extent that they have been voluntarily surrendered by the citizenship to the agencies of government."

My doctor at the VA clinic in Conroe asked me to give up my guns until she thinks its safe for me to own them. I ask what happens if I refuse. She couldnt give me a good answer.

This administration is not military friendly and not veteran friendly. Anytime an illegal alien gets to displace a veteran in line for health care, that is obvious.

Also, it figures that vets can shoot, and it fears any citizen having both that ability and the power of gun ownership. So, it follows that it would target veterans' 2A rights in any way it can.

That nurse is full of <deleted>. The only time your health information is disclosed without your permission is if you're an imminent threat to yourself or others. I'm getting tired of explaining this...

Be careful what you say to a healthcare worker, the government has ways of getting information. And now that things are computerized, it can be done from anywhere.

Returning veterans have been a "concern" for the DOD for years. Look up a leaked memo that puts vets at the top, above terrorist groups.

The questions of hurting anyone are ridiculous. I remember asking my medic friend if wanting to shoot the enemy counted as "hurting someone." We laughed it off and said no. Now it has become this whole monster in itself, you answer yes to that question and you get "recommended" to a dozen therapists.

So we have a hundred or so thousand vets with extensive insurgency experience who are back home and melded with civilization, about to lose their rights.

What's there for the Government to be afraid of?

Ok, here goes:

•Expressions of libertarian philosophies (statements, bumper stickers)

** what happened to "word of mouth"?

•Second Amendment-oriented views (NRA or gun club membership, holding a CCW permit)

** and the question is?

•Survivalist literature (fictional books such as "Patriots" and "One Second After" are mentioned by name)

** Read them, heard discussions on them, you can watch them on YouTube - no secret there - and i think folks can draw their own conclusions, which Big Daddy hates.

•Self-sufficiency (stockpiling food, ammo, hand tools, medical supplies)

** living in hurricane territory, lived through Katrina, I should depend on Big Daddy?

•Fear of economic collapse (buying gold and barter items)

** I can see it every day in news readers. I was educated in schools BEFORE the inception of Jimmy Carter's Department of Education

•Religious views concerning the book of Revelation (apocalypse, anti-Christ)

** I have read those, and hear folks do what they can with their dots, even the old 1920's books on the age of dispensation, with all the charts. Obama has admitted he is a Mohammedan. I support Israel.

and the question is?

•Expressed fears of Big Brother or big government

** I have always believed in Jeffersonian government.

•Homeschooling

** after seeing how well the ejumacation system has devolved from when I attended, i support it

and the question is?

•Declarations of Constitutional rights and civil liberties

** to a government that has eveolved more foreign than the one I defended in the military of this nation, why not?

and the question is?

•Belief in a New World Order conspiracy

** show mw why we have not attacked and salted the nation of Saudi Arabia after 9/11'; show me why a foreign rich man has sway in the political affairs of this nation; show me why we had to change all of our defense plant manufacturing regulations to become E.U.-compliant, after over 40 years of manufacturing them for the world.
