This might make you think about things, drones on Americans.

A confidential Justice Department memo concludes that the U.S. government can order the killing of American citizens if they are believed to be “senior operational leaders” of al-Qaida or “an associated force” -- even if there is no intelligence indicating they are engaged in an active plot to attack the U.S.
Too late.

Our government has already assassinated U.S. citizens with drone strikes.
No jury of one's peers, no legal representation, and no appeal.
Just blown to bits by a drone.
U.S. military personnel, or CIA personnel, have killed U.S. citizens simply because some bureaucrat told them that the target was a "bad guy".

Easy

Yemen to be exact. Rumor has it the fella denounced his American citizenship and joined Al Queda. Sooooo, was he truly a U.S. citizen? I don't think so.

I hope that never happens here on American soil...

But I'm really not liking the things I see going on now.

It's not a far stretch to imagine that the future will bring the drones already flying in the air above us to some use somewhere.

Here in Houston they are quite active.

Not sure there is an excuse. Talking about using drones on supposed U.S. citizens in foreign countries during terrorist training exercises is a whole lot different than talking about drone strikes against U.S. citizens on American soil while in the process of exercising their God given rights imho. Sure a tyrannical government would use whatever means they could to squash a rebellion. The key is to keep it from getting to that point by speaking up and voting. I'll never shed a tear or lose any sleep over the death of an Al Queda, Taliban or any other extremist group bent on killing Americans. NEVER.
