It's not a matter of where, but more a matter of when.

Unfortunately if you NEED to buy any bullets to feed your 223 habit today the prices are just really insane. IF you can wait until the supply improves, the normal sources that will sell for a reasonable margin of profit will start to get stock again. If those that feel the need to buy any bullets that show in stock at whatever price the seller can get buy them up I do not blame the seller for pricing them so. Now buying all available stock to resell on the internet at double the price or more is not High Road in the least and I hope they get burned for being that greedy. Everyone has a price point at which they stop purchasing, mine is much different than yours apparently. If I can't make a premium .223 round for 12 -15 cents I will stop using my current stock and sit on what is left and shoot something else in the interim (.22 rimfire for me). This attitude comes from reloading for many years through lots of turbulence in pricing/supply. When you get through this mess I recommend buying a good .22 rimfire and stock up the relatively inexpensive ammo deep for the future.

Thats $10 cheaper than the 1,000 I got from Montana Gold last month. Seems like a good price considering the times.
Oh no. I forgot that shipping was included with my Montana Gold order therefore the Natchezz price is not cheaper.

Yes. Natchez's shipping pretty much makes small orders too expensive.
They are out ot stock already.

I was having trouble finding bulk .224 55gr FMJ bullets for a reasonable price back in June of 2012...so that may be a while.

I bought 1000 for $120 then. I didn't pounce on a deal of $170 for 2,000 in early December though because I had plenty left.....now I am :banghead:

If we don't keep buying at these insane prices, they'll only keep charging these insane prices. Not long ago, I bought fully loaded, factory ammo for that. Vote with your $$.

Last ones I ordered from Hornady were $54/1000, in "big" boxes.

I looked at Montana Gold web site 4 to 8 weeks ago and their 55 grain .224 bullets were $80 per 1K if you ordered the bulk 3,750 box. I just looked at their site and it's down for maintenance.

Been a couple days now, I think MG might be out of bullets.

I have a couple of those cases of 55 gr .224, that will have to hold me.

I can feel your pain. It is a very lousy time to be a new reloader.

I could also see buying what you had to to save cash over buying new ammo. With .223 going for $.75 to $1 a round if I wanted to shoot I would probably buy 15 cent bullets to make ammo for 25 cents a round.

I would not fault anyone for doing so. Prices are what they are right now, like it or not.

90/k for those hornady's at midwayusa (before the panic). They're very good bullets.

I'll wait too. I can hear a cash register ring louder than the report of the rifle at 150/k.

I think these very same bullets (in bags like this) were $10.49 at this place in early December.

I've shot the boxed version of these in several matches, and was pleased with them.

I have 1400 hornady match in 100 projectile boxes and I don't even have a AR or any .223. Maybe I should hold on to them.

I'M RICH!!!!!!!! LMAO!!!!! I bought 20,000 back in the early 90's, and still have them! thought it was a good investment, (in my freedom) But never in my wildest dreams thought folks would agree to these prices! If you keep paying these prices they will keep charging them!
