The High Road AR15 Picture Thread

OK, sorry the one in the center is not an AR 15 type but an AR 10.

The foreground is a Colt Sporter Target, the AR 10 is an Armalite set up for match, and in the background is a Double Star and till I ended up with it I had no clue what a Double Star was. Hey, it was priced right and I am not even an AR 15 type so I bought it.

The AR 10 is by far my favorite in the lot. Also in the picture the Colt and Armalite are supported by $3.00 bi pods.

Top is PSA 16" middy premium with FN CHF bbl and a ton of aftermarket extras.

A2 is USGI FN with KAC rail on a PSA A2 lower.

Here is my A4ish clone i use for SRS matches. Palmetto State Armory; upper lower, lpk, BCG.The barrel is a FN Criterion. Cardinal Forge carry handle setup with IBFZ. I need to put a national match free float on it.

My AR is more special to me than any other gun I own. While my son was in the Gulf for 14 months, every Christmas, Fathers Day, Birthday, etc. while he was deployed, he ordered another part of this rifle shipped to me as a gift. We consulted on every choice, he advised and I got to pick. When he came home he sat at the kitchen table and put it all together on a lower that he already had.

I have a National match AR too, but this is the latest addition. It is my true franken-AR, so I will list the parts below. This is my "recce" build. I finished it up this fall with the addition of the improved stock. I started building it this spring and bought components as I could afford them. I thought there might be a shortage and a price increase come fall. I decided to go with different colors on some components to mix up the black appearance and keep with the recce rifle theme. Many, it seems, were modified in the field. I have already sent 1200 rounds down range with this. It points more naturally than any rifle I own.

Acera, I was about to say something along those lines. I knew something wasn't right when I first looked at the picture. It took me a minute to find it.

All I have on my phone. Ditched the quad rail for the MOE handguard and couldn't be happier.
