It's about time. The NRA needs to be confrontational and in the face of antis.
They need to show stories of people brutally beaten and raped in their home because they didn't have a gun to defend themselves with.
People that are anti gun are only that way because they haven't been a victim of a crime yet.

Awesome! I need a jacket with that slogan and logo.

Think the second one was better; the first one made it feel like last November: noise. Still clearly better than letting WLP get in front of a camera, committee, etc. Progress!

Good stuff. Both videos are excellent, IMO. Only problem is I've never seen these on TV. How often are they aired, and on which channels?

I don't watch much television, but it would still be nice to know people see these during primetime, and not just on VERSUS.

I wish they would actually air these during prime time tv. You gotta win the hearts and minds. If you air this on an outdoor channel you most likely already won the hearts and minds so why waste the money. They need to start going into no man's land like prime time tv. Get the message out and make it appealing to the uneducated. That's who they need to win, not me I'm already on board, don't tell me things I already know. Tell the unknowing what they need to know and what they should be concerned about, because they probably have no idea. They need to spend the money and spearhead a campaign to gain the general concensus of a pro 2nd am. populous of the USA; step one: TV ADVERTISEMENTS (they work like a charm), think about the impact of commercials during elections to the underinformed voter

and a sidenote: wouldn't you think that it would help bolster more new memberships for their organization, which means more capital, which means more ability to protect the 2nd am.

I do'nt have any proof, but my guess is they may have tried to run their ads on the major networks, CNN, MBC, ABC CBS, but knowing their antigun stance, they may have declined to run ads from the NRA.

Tying their arguments to how bad Obama is does not make sense. Obama just WON an election. He is NOT unpopular. Lines like "welcome to Obama's new America" won't convince anyone who doesn't already agree with the NRA. These videos might be effective fundraisers, but they are not effective advocacy. They need to be trying to speak to the people who watch CNN, not Fox News.

^^ President Obama won less of the popular vote this time than last and is not particularly popular: neither the man nor his policies. I think the stronger anti-gun stance he takes and the whackier his anti-gun antis get ("buy a shotgun" and fire a couple blasts off the balcony. I promise the attacker will scurry away), the more unpopular he's going to become.

Yeah, major media puppetry is a problem, but one good breakthrough and we can advance quickly.

True enough, but how do you get in front of those people when CNN will not run the ads? For that matter most , if not all, of the "mainstream" media just will not run an ad from the NRA or any other pro 2nd group.

The typical anti-gunner is going to watch liberal leaning TV programming and spend their time on like minded alternate media outlets. So, it is a huge challenge to even present your argument to the antis for their consideration.

I liked the first one. It is a warning and reminder to politicians about where the lines are drawn. The second one about magazine capacity seems to me like just so much whining...."no, I want 15, no, I want 30"....fire capacity nitpicking that just draws us into the mudpit.

So, so true.

You know, home invasions are low in the US compared with countries that have strict firearms laws.
How ironic that gun ownership in this country reduces the very kinds of crimes that would normally scare people into owning guns.
