I would do just about anything to get some Federal auto match up here in that 325 box, but alas it went to TX first. ;)
 
Earliest I can be back there is next Saturday. Lord let them Monday tricks be the rule and not the exception... :(

Lots of 7.62x39 at the local Academy here. Also .40 and .308 is available. They had the 15.99 AE 9mm 124gr and some Independence 5.56 for 9.99 (it was 8.99 a few weeks ago). .22lr rarely gets delivered.
 
Hmmm we have an Academy down the right...might go check it out tonight.

Did you get .45 pricing?
 
So you're standing in line for when the store opens? Is this a regular thing? People waiting outside on an average day waiting on ammo?

Yes. People are waiting outside for ammo on days they get their shipments. Its the only way to get any ammo. The local shops have sold every round they have and they have yet to get a shipment. Oh they may get a few boxes. Boxes not cases. Boxes. You can't run a business with no product to sell.
Academy's policy of 1 box each and a max of 3 calibers per day is working. People get ammo and are happy. Those wanting firearms are given numbers and are taken care of in order.

I wonder if the LGS are buying there too, just so they have some to sell even at 10% to 20% more.

Is it regular enough you know when their shipments will come in? Or do they tell you?
 
I just got back from Academy. I was one of the lucky 2 who got a 420 round can of 62 grain 5.56. Price was $209.99. I also picked up a box of Blazer 9mm for $13.99 and a 325 round box of Federal Match 22lr for $15.99. They also had 375 round 22lr CCI for $15.99. Also available in 22lr were mini mags, Remington 525 count boxes and the one bulk 1600 round can of 40gr 22lr.

There was about 20 people in line before they opened their doors and al.ost as many who swowed up just after they opened. Guess I'm going to have to show up a little earlier than I have been.
 
Your Academy must have pulled some strings to get that ammo so often. Our's is getting small shipments once a week now.
