Here's my newest one, I still haven't had the chance to fire her.

-The lower receiver a Colt 6920, got rid of the Rogers Super-Stoc and replaced it with a Colt CAR stock and swapped out the mil-spec trigger with a Geissele SSA.
-The upper is a Noveske 14.5 Lo-Pro
-Aimpoint CompM2
-SureFire M962 with Veleno Designs XP-G LED drop-in module, about 250 lumens, with a SureFire SR-05 tape switch.
-Bobro shorty VFG and generic ladder rail covers

I absolutely love the way this rifle handles, despite the big 9-volt SureFire and the full-size Aimpoint it is extremely light. I may replace the CompM2 with a 2 MOA Micro T-1 or H-1 down the road for greater weight savings. And maybe a MagPul CTR stock and new pistol grip.

That's a beautiful rifle. I like the CAR stock, its minimalist. However, a new stock may be in order for ergonomic purposes.

Here's mine.

S&W M&P15 lower, FN A2 upper, 14.5" barrel with an unknown AK-style brake (will get shortened to 10.5" and have KX-3), MagPul MOE handguard/AFG2, Pearce 1911 grip frame, MagPul trigger guard, MPI-tested Detroit Gun Works BCG, CMMG LPK and a DPMS charging handle. Finish is Rust-oleum Dark Taupe with Rust-oleum satin clearcoat, so far it's held up to some abuse and is easy to touch up.

Oh yeah, the BSA red dot will be on a 'Z' mount before the end of the month that should co-witness with my sights. ;)

My KISS, soon to be HD, rifle is nearly 'complete'. Just needs an ambi safety, and maybe a finer trigger

BCM standard middy 16" upper
BCM BCG + Gunfighter charging handle
Magpul MOE handguard with IWC QD attachment point and magpul vertical grip (MVG)
IWC SMC light mount with Surefire/VTAC L4 weapnlight (the pseudo scout)
Aimpoint PRO
Magpul MBUS2 rear backup sight
Aero Precision stripped lower with Colt FCG and PSA LPK
BCM mil spec buffer assembly (H buffer)
Magpul MOE+ grip and trigger guard (grip contains a spare PSA HPT/MPI bolt + lube)
Magpul ACS-L stock (storage contains ear plugs, 2 rounds 5.56, 2 CR123 batteries)
Noveske QD endplate
Blue Force Gear VCAS

Thanks CmdrSlander, my Colt/Noveske hybrid is my new pride and joy, and like I said it is very light. I can't wait to shoot it. I do agree that the stock could be more ergonomic but I really do like the CAR stock. I will probably still replace it with a MagPul CTR though, and get a TangoDown BattleGrip to replace the A2 grip, both for ergonomics.

Nothing fancy here, well used, with wearing marks and everything. Works allright none the less, agrees with me and does what is asked - goes bang and hits the target. But still, nothing as good looking as many others here.

I am fond of the AR/VZ combo too. :D

68wj, nice. i have an AR with JP tube similarly painted in foliage green

I kind of like the old school approach. Though, the rifles are old school, VZ was made somewhere 60-70 and the EBR is a Colt M-16A1 (at least that's what it says on the side). Interestingly, both the VZ and the M16 felt similar in handling - weight, recoil, follow up shots etc.

Should be here in a couple of weeks :)

AR chambered in 30-06. And yes it's an 8 pound rifle.

Why?
1) Because 30-06 drops anything in North America
2) Long range (1000 to 1500 yards if I do my job behind it)
