Anyone here have experience with this company? I ordered a couple of holsters and mag carriers on Jan. 2nd and was told by company rep. via e-mail that the current turn around time was just under 8 weeks. It has now been over 10 weeks and no product.

My bigger problem is that my phone messages and e-mails go unanswered. If you're running a little slower than anticipated then let me know. How do you run a company and not have provision for customer communication?

Has anyone else experienced this with this company?

I ordered a kydex holster from them last year. As I recall it took 5 - 6 weeks beyond their estimate, but it finally arrived safe and sound, and well made.

I haven't ordered anything yet but the general consensus I've read is they make good quality products. Not sure about customer service.

Ordered one about two years ago; took 'bout two weeks longer than promised and the shipping notification email was sent a full week before the box was on the truck. The holster was not as great as the internet promised it would be either.

Sheesh! Who CAN you trust these days?

Thanks for the feedback. I believe that they do make a quality product and I don't mind waiting a reasonable amount of time. It just really grates on me that people anymore don't seem to give a rat's a$$ about communicating with their customers.

Yes, I have four different Alabama holsters, and they're by far my favorite kydex varieties. However, he's a one-man shop, and lead times are typically upwards of 3 months or so. Unless you're willing to wait I'd look elsewhere. And you're right, there's no excuse for poor communications.

I have bought from him before. Love the holster so I would say they are worth the wait.

Yeah, I'm looking at that now. I got shipping notification over the weekend, but it still hasn't been picked up by USPS for delivery. I don't know for sure, but my guess is that they don't ship daily but once a week.

Thanks for posting until now I did not know about Alabama Holster Co. I'm going to order the '360'. Since I live below Mason-Dixon I don't mind waiting real long time.

Just curious as to what difference it makes in where you live. Are you trying to imply that those that live above the Mason Dixon line don't have patience?

Well, I'm in S.C. and I don't appreciate being told the turnaround is less than eight weeks and it has taken 12. If I had been told upfront that the wait was 12 I wouldn't have had a problem with that.

I emailed the company after the notification to inquire about the delay and the reply indicated the email is generated when the mailing label is printed, usually that's when they start to build the holster.

Any idea what the actual build time is? I would ask them, but they won't respond to the simplest request for info.

Those in hurry should buy Blade Tech.

A few months ago, they told me it was like 8 weeks.

I could make my own holster in a couple hours.

I've got one. It's a Kydex holster, nothing special. Buy one if you don't mind waiting a looooong time. Really, I've gotten hand-made custom leather in less than half the time (from a one-man operation). That HAS to be more labor intensive than a Kydex holster. I've purchased Kydex holsters at gun shows that were made on-site, to-order, and had them within an hour or so and those compare favorably to the Alabama holster.

To be fair, though, it IS a $25 holster.... it's not like much money is tied up in the wait. I still might buy one sometime.

Well, I finally received my holsters today after 14 weeks. I think I'm going to like them. They are very light and thin, retention is good and they look OK as well.

Not pleased with the lack of communication though.
