Replacement Hornaday LNL

Good luck finding one. Im on a waiting list until July. there are no LNL's available .... that I can find.

If I understood your question, I like having a case-feeder on my progressive.

Spare springs for the...primer slide, powder drop and case retainer. I have 'em mainly due to the theory that if I have 'em on hand then I'll never need them. After 3 years I'm still on the originals, but then I don't crank out 10,000 rounds/month either.

The micrometers for the powder measure are convenient (hard to read with older eyes though) but not really necessary.

Roller handles are nice, but I don't have one for the LNL...yet.

Installed the case feeder over the weekend. Wish I had it sooner.

The LED light is a HUGE plus!! Helps you to see into the cases. I look in each and every one.

I like the Dillon primer pickup tubes. However I just got the Frankford Vibra-Prime which is pretty nice.

I use and like the RCBS primer flipper tray as it's large enough for any primer boxes I've seen, including Federal. It's also great for reflipping back into a Lee primer tray if you use them. Just gather all the primers in the center of the RCBS tray and park the LEE right over top and flip over, being mindful of the exit opening in the Lee. Again, works great with Federals.

+ 1 on the case feeder, I don't have one but would love to get one.
I would also add that you will want a powder cop or lockout die,
I picked up a few extra primer tubes as well, so i could have 3-4 loaded with primers on hand.
the hornady 1-shot case lube works very well to keep the press lubed without gumming up.
spare springs. I have 5 shellplate springs and 5 primer shuttle springs on hand at any time, you might want to have an extra indexing pawl on hand as well.

For speed the brass feeder is a big plus. I like the PTX for my pistol loading, freeing up a station for a powder check die. I also use a separate crimp die, just makes it easier. With the PTX I have a powder base die for each caliber so I don't have to change my settings. Also makes changing calibers very quick. I have never had any issues with the primer spring. Tip: Tie a piece of string/thread around it to make it easy to change sleds. Just run the ram up Pull spring back with thread, remove sled, install sled, slip spring back on. Takes 10-15 sec to do.

I got most from either Midway, Midsouth or Natchez. The Dillon tubes and beam scale came from Brian Enos. The LED from inlinefabrication who also makes several style roller handles and other neat stuff. Hornady has an LED in their catalog now as well.

Also if you're going to work with cast, you may consider having custom made m die like ptx inserts made for the powder measure. There are guys on castboolits who do this, I'm having some made now.

One tip I'd like to add. I see that many people complain of having powder collecting in the primer slide area thus preventing complete closure and needing frequent cleaning. I don't have this problem because my pm is in station 3, not above the priming area. So far I've been using an m die in station 2. Some people prefer a powder cop or lockout die in station 3 though. I prefer to use my eyeballs, but I'm not doing rifle on my press. Everybody has to work out their own preferences.

I see in the two posts above some things I forgot about and are good ideas. I have 2 extra pawls on hand.

The string on the primer spring is one of those why-didin't-I-think-of-that kind of things. Great idea!

I also have quick change powder dies for each caliber. Not completely necessary, I'm just lazy and spoiled

People may advise to get a powderfunnel but I say save your money. I got one early on and all it does is flair the case mouth, it's not really an expander in my mind. Useless for cast. Not only that, with hardly any use it has gauges in it from the brass, obviously not hardened at all. Use m dies, ptx's or custom ptx's as mentioned earlier.

I dont use an expander when I load cast. I use a flare and works just fine.(so far)
