Treasure hunting in your own house is freakin' awesome. :D

I can't say I found something quite as nice as that but once I found 12 sterling silver goblets in my garage (old box a relative asked me to store). She told me to keep them. :)

How much?

That's really hard to say. There is book value and there is actual value. I have been looking to see what something comparable has sold for recently. The only thing I can find on gunbroker but both are fairly well used and without all the accessories and selling for ~$3,500

The shots of that beautiful M-1 only brought a smile to my face.:)
Not envy, as I already have a Garand, but the photos increase the desire to acquire a second (only from the CMP), after they catch up on their work this spring.

Orkan's funny raccoon photo was also entertaining.

Werent many of these in Korean arsenal supplied to them during the 50s , 60s and 70s?

Color me jealous. I have an M1D with an aftermarket barrel and a SA receiver about 200,000 after that one, plus a reproduction M84 scope, but I only have $1300 into my setup and I can shoot it as much as I want.

:)
