You are very welcome.

I am in the process of equipping two new shooters to reloading (two ladies) and in the same boat as everyone else.

Since yesterday, I spent over $1,200 in reloading components alone (380Auto, 40S&W and 45ACP) and believe me, the two ladies were happy to get them. It's the reason why I have been very active with this thread. :D BTW, Thanks Walkalong for sending me 380Auto brass and paying the shipping too!!! :D :D :D

I have a good stock of primers and powders and I will be sharing with them. Yes, W231/HP-38/WSF to start AND they like my Promo loads in 9mm/45ACP! So I am getting some Promo for them too (yes, they shoot full size 40S&W/45ACP and carry 380Auto).

It is a fast burning powder on par with Red Dot and Alliant tells us to use Red Dot load data by weight. I referenced current Alliant load data and 2004 Alliant load data for Red Dot for my load developments.

It is a larger flake powder than Unique and will meter with .2-.3+ gr variation in my newer Pro Auto Disk but will meter with .1-.2 gr variation in my older Pro Auto Disk.

I did initial testing with 9mm/40S&W jacketed/plated/lead bullets and later with 45ACP (200 gr SWC).

It did much better than I anticipated (even with the ~.2 gr variation in powder drops) and I currently use it as my range practice/plinking load powder. I use 3.8 - 4.0 gr with 9mm 125 gr RN (MBC SmallBall) and 40S&W 180 gr TCFP (MBC IDP #5). 4.0 gr with 45ACP 200 gr SWC (MBS Bullseye #1) produces a mild recoil yet very accurate load. These loads produced accurate shot groups and no leading in Sig 1911/RIA Tactical/M&P45/M&P40 and Glock 22/23/27 using Lone Wolf/KKM barrels.

oh ok. i have 8lbs still of 700x for my 380 and 45acp but was thinking about a plinking powder for 38special. never fooled with red dot and dont really know the area it fills. all i know is it sure seems well priced for 8lbs and i thought 700x was cheap lol

I went through the same thing & got a jug of Promo. I'll use Red Dot load data by WEIGHT. As I've been instructed you cannot use Red Dot load data with a volumetric dispenser. You have to weigh the charges.

Can't find reloading dies? Buy the press kit that includes the dies. ;)

Tried to put some primers on back order through Powder Valley. Took the order online but today I received an email canceling the order. Says they are not taking orders on items out of stock. So I guess I play the notification game and hope I respond in time.

You know it is bad when most pocket reamers are not available. Looking for a Hornady Pocket Reamer Combo. I need to remove the crimp on 223Rem and 308Win.

Maybe I shouldnt say it here but I have a RCBS crimp remover I'd sell. The type you use on a press. Hardly ever used. I got a Dillon. PM me I guess.
