Jerry is amazing.

What I really admire is the discipline it must take to reach the level that he has. That kind of shooting does NOT come from just raw talent--it comes with a lifetime of hard WORK.

I am amazed everytime I see his videos.

"So what do you think guys? The old man can shoot a pistol." :D

At one of the local USPSA matches, an "old guy" showed up with a revolver and moon clips. Some of the match shooters giggled/snickered as he went to the start box and I was expecting him to go, "bang ... bang ... bang ..." slow fire but when the timer went off, it was a machinegun like "bang/bang, bang/bang, bang/bang ... moon clip change in a blink of an eye ... bang/bang, bang/bang, bang/bang ... etc." Everyone's jaw dropped!

He shot faster with his revolver than us with our semi-autos ... and his double shots were tight and his stage times were faster than ours! After he finished shooting, I immediately offered him a beverage and asked, "How did you do that?" He smiled and said, "A lot of practice, son." I became an instant pupil and oh my, the stories he told!

In the video he said that Browning included an external extractor "in the Browning Hi-Power of 1935".

I didn't think external extractors were added to Hi Powers until the 1960's (they used internal before that). If that's the case I don't see that John Browning would have had anything to do with that decision.

Yep - Jerry's terrific with a revolver, but many don't realize he shoots a 1911 pretty well, too.

BTW, not taking anything away from his skill, but y'all do realize he's bump-firing that 1911 at the 22:00 segment don't you?
