Looks like Kerry is going to sign the UN Gun Bill

I could see this administration signing the treaty knowing full well that it doesn't have a snowball's chance in hades in being ratified in the Senate. I still don't like the principle of signing just to make us look nice in the international community. Sign it if you really believe in it. ... Oh wait ...

I thought the Senate approved an amendment that prevented Congress from ratifying the UN Arms Treaty?

Man I cant wait till 2016 to get these CLOWNS OUT OF OFFICE.

110 congressmen sent a unified letter to The white house urging them not to sign it.

If the administration paid any attention to Congress on that issue, it would be the first and only time.

I live in NY until 7/15/2013 when I move to a gun friendly state like Florida or Tenn. The gun-grabbing clowns in NY are both Democrats and republicans so you can't vote them out of office.

Ditto for Obama, Kerry and Holder. Yeh, they will be out in 2016 but which gun-grabbers will replace them?

Remember GOP candidate Mitt Zombie? He was the biggest gun-grabber from the great state of Mass and he is the one who signed into law the most restrictive gun control laws in the nation.

Our gun rights are being taken away at an alarming rate and the 2nd Amendment means nothing. The battle is being waged and lost at the state level.

The efforts at the federal level are largely a diversion so state laws like the NY SAFE Act can be passed at 2AM in the morning with no one watching.

Not surprising. The current administration loves its photo ops, regardless of whether they amount to diddly squat.

Because all politics is theater on a grand level. Show your base "I'm willing, but those guys are keeping us back..." It lets you look like you're really supportive, while you wring your hands, shrug, and simply blame others for not carrying forward the grand progress of society.

Nope. Obama can't do a darned thing. If the Senate doesn't ratify, the treaty means nothing in the US.

This maybe a dumb question, but I had to ask...Can Kerry be bought up on Treason charges just for signing it?

If it didn't happen last year, it ain't never happening. I believe the Repubs will never win another presidential election, and even if they do ( as mentioned above) it still won't matter. The game is SO rigged at this point,that this whole NWO/disarmament/global-currency thing is a done deal. Or, as the saying goes, "it's all over but the crying". I realize that many here still desperately cling to some fantasy about some big Revolution and the Republic being restored,rainbows and General Stores springing up around the country, but sadly,that ain't what's happening here.

Obama has been playing the Senate like a fisherman with a 10 pound bass on a 4 pound line. They are just too dumb to get it. He gets everything he really wants from them. He will probably get this too.

If "0" had 67 votes in the Senate, we'd all be in THR's Non-firearms forum talking about pointy sticks and rocks already. This is political passive aggressive showmanship, nothing more. It allows him to blame everything on somebody else.

No. Read the Constitution.
Article 3. Section. 3.
"Treason against the United States shall consist only in levying War against them, or in adhering to their Enemies, giving them Aid and Comfort. No Person shall be convicted of Treason unless on the Testimony of two Witnesses to the same overt Act, or on Confession in open Court."

Just good photo op time.

It might just serve to keep the UN continuing to do talk much and do nothing instead of giving them something to be pissed off about in unison. Learn something from the Arabs... smile, tell them what they want to hear, and then do whatever the hell we want to.
