New glock beaver tail

A Glock with a beavertail??

Gosh, they are getting more modern 1911-like all the time!!

Now, if they would just put the hammer & safety on them and change the grip angle, they would have something I might buy!

Saw one the other day. For those who need one, it looks like a solution to a problem I used to have with my G23 ... it always took off a little chunk of skin at the thumb-hand joint. A CTC over mold laser fixed that and it looks like Glock's beaver tail would have also.

As far as what to expect, it'll provide protection to your hand during rearward slide movement. But that's about all since hammer bite is not an issue.

I'll admit I'm not much of a Glock guy, but I've handled all the generations of Glocks, Gen 4 included, and I haven't seen a factory "beavertail" on any of them.

Some of the newest Gen 4s come with four backstraps; two conventional and two beavertail.

This is how I solved the problem of possible slide bite. Could have installed grip adaptors, but chose this setup.

Nice solution Mag, is that an Endo adapter? If my state allowed for NFA, I'm not sure I'd go that route, but I would, at the very least consider it. I've got a couple other projects I'd want to convert first.

This is a potential big development for certain gamers.

In IDPA for instance, the aftermarket Grip Force adapter was first ruled legal, then illegal for SSP.

Since this now comes as a factory part, I assume it would be SSP and/or Production legal, assuming it fits the other dimentional limitations ("the box").

One of the reasons I had to go to an M&P was that after I started doing dedicated grip stength exercises, I started getting bad slide bite off the Glock. This would (likely) address that item. I have seen one in the box, but not handled it with a beavertail backstrap installed.
