Can I as an individual ship powder? I don't think I can as it has to be shipped by someone with a contract with UPS or FedEx for Hazmat. Let me know if I can.

What happened is I had orders in at two places for Varget (4#'s both places). I thought I had successfully canceled one order but apparently not since I received both packages while out this week. So now I have more powder than I need in the foreseeable future as I use it in a load that I shoot very little. I know Varget is in short supply right now and I would rather re-coup my money and let someone else have a shot.

GunBroker would put it in front of more people but I don't wanna take the chance of shipping it inappropriately like some there are.

Thanks again.

Just throw it up on armslist for what you paid and im sure your email inbox will be flooded within a few hours. I always use armslist when selling firearms related things as I do not want to go through the hassle of auctions, dealing with people ive never met and shipping. Ive met a lot of good people through armslist, one who even invited me to go out and shoot his s&w 500 snub :what:

Only 8 lbs of Varget is hardly what I would call extra powder. I usually buy my rifle powders in 8lb jugs if I can afford it at the time. The way things are you might want to hold on to both 4lb jugs.

It is on Armslist now. If anyone in or will be around OH (Central to be exact) let me know. I have $39 a pound into it.

The 4#'s puts me at 8lbs for something I may use 8#'s of .308 powder a year. I feel fine letting go of the extra 4 of Varget especially considering how little supply is out there. I also have 8#'s of 4895 now. Plenty for my .308 loads.

woah, who bent you over the barrel on that one? Last time I was in Country attic treasures general store(last month) in south lebanon oh, they had pounds of varget for $17 or $18/lb... not to mention almost any powder you could name. Most all hornady bullets besides .224 or .355" and they to this day have a decent stock of many primers for the normal price of $34-$40/k depending on flavor.

Regardless, Im sure you can unload it all for $160, there are still a bunch of people going nutty out there.

Edit- huh, I guess you didnt get it too bad after shipping and hazmat(probably around $40) It looks like this country attic place near me sells powder cheaper than PV and actually has it in stock

Sounds like Bruno's prices to me.

Armslist, Craigslist, and possibly midwestguntrader.com would all be decent places to try to unload "extra."

If you want to do it legally ...... and you are trained in HazMat, have the certificate, a FedEx account, the proper boxes, labels, stickers and forms.

Yes.

If you have none or only part of the above, No.

Powder was $27.99/pound at Cabelas plus shipping and tax puts me right at $40 a pound. Wasn't trying to make money/flip just get what I have in it out of it.

Missed cancelling it when my PV order became available because my newborn had a pretty major medical issue come up so we have been at Childrens Hospital every night.

As several have already said, you cannot ship powder without the proper certification. Try to find someone in your area that needs it.

There is no such thing as "extra powder". Just powder that hasn't been allocated to rounds yet. Varget has been pretty easy to come by around here the last couple of weeks. I've got 3 lbs at the moment which should last me until the end of the year. (famous last words)
