So far with a few hundred rounds of Silver Bear 123 H.P. they shoot VERY well and that is another 100 yard deer rifle that will see some woods time this fall.

as to the failures of the mini 30 ,John farnam runs a ton of combat classes yearly.

he reports that those that show with a mini 30 have a tendency to not finish the course with their rifle due to failures too numerous to mention.

they are firing a great amount of rounds in a few days and the course simulates combat with little cleaning during firing daily.

I was a fan of the mini 14 for a few decades and when I decided to go the M-4 route it was noted that the M-4 was more accurate than the mini 14 I owned.

I love the feel & look of the mini 30 as well as the caliber,I am also a huge fan of the 300 BKL out as I like the M-4 platform.

The problem I have with the mini 30 is that it does not come with a picitinny rail to mount any & all optics I might want to T&E.
