I made this about 1968. It is made from 01 which is a tool steel. It is hard,
Rockwell about 60 on C scale. .250 thick. Overall length 10 inches. Blade is
6 inches. Buffalo head nickel on both sides. I found it in a old box when we moved. Just wanted to show it off. This is the 1st knife I ever made. Last too.

Beautiful knife I like the Blade shape and the nickel in the grip really sets it off. I wish I could create something like that but I have no artistic bone in my whole body.
Thanks for sharing

Hard and thick! I like the shape- the grip nicely compliments the blade.

Even for a forth or fifth knife, it looks pretty good by my knife making standards.

The grind is outstanding, and I don't care who ya are, if you had never ground one before.

I like that thing. It has a primitive charm that makes it totally believable as an artifact from some other, simpler (?) time. Make more.
