Alright rifle country, lets see some uncommon rifles

There are definitely some very nice looking guns posted by others here. Mine are not as old as most of those posted, but they are still somewhat uncommon in the area I live in.

I used to own a 1903A4, one of 34,000 but sold it for guns I didn't feel like dumping a grand into all the time.
now probably the least common I own is a bubbad Enfield T sniper that's been halfway converted to 45ACP.

I sold the Tangeshima, and decided not to post the NDM-86 or the Valmet Rk-62 because I also sold those, but here's some neat stuff I have.

this winchester 1876 in 45-60 is a special order rifle with a 30 inch barrel and weights in at 10lbs 3oz,s.and was made in 1883 and is over 130yrs old. i do take it hunting on very nice days for deer. 350gr cast bullet with 25grs of imr-4198. this rifle was used but not abused and the bore is in ex condition. this rifle will be one of the last to go and will go to a familey member,as thats how i got it as a relitives estate sale. eastbank.

four of my less common swedish guns,two fsr target rifles and a 1944 m-38 in 6.5x55 with a early swedish m-40 in 9mm. while not rare they are getting very hard to get these days. eastbank

Johnson and G41 are on my wishlist....let a G41 walk away just this week....trying to save cash now....darn Dr.

Well, it's unique. This is what happened when i wanted a 10/22 international and a No2 SMLE, and all i had was a 10/22 and a cracked up SMLE No.1 forearm.
The bayonet and the barrel are the same length...

Quite well. In fact, better than it did before the face lift. I doweled the fore stock, and glassed it; so i figured i might as well glass the whole barrel channel...

I've done a little plinking with the bayonet on, but i haven't shot groups seriously with it; i figure it wont get much use until the raccoons living in the wood pile get organized and counter attack more effectively.

My most uncommon. Around 1000 in the US.

don't know how uncommon but I know it's harder then snot to find ammo for. cartridge says M 88 / 9 millimeter.closest thing I can find dimensionally is 9 by 57 possibly. My great great great uncle had a 7,8, and 9 and I ended up with the 9. Still have a couple of boxes of ammo from what I would believe to be right around the turn of the century.

Made in 1909 in .35 Remington.

its a ballard- brown a few thousand were made in the 1860s. its both a rimfire and a black powder reloadable. back in the day you would fire the rimfire the 1st time then you reload the cartridge and use a cap to fire. its a 44 caliber and we have figured out that a 44-40 rim is the perfect size to fit in there. take some fired 44-40 brass thats blown out, drill a little maybe 1/16 inch flash hole through the fired primer in that case. The put a thin single ply of tissue in the case, load some black powder or pyrodex, then load a lead 44 bullet. hand press that bullet in. then load the case into the action close that falling block. if you cock the hammer you can see that long nipple. put a cap on it and shoot. we have shot it quite a bit. can get a 200ish grain bullet going about 1000 feet ps. we dont want to push it. its actually pretty accurate. from a stand im sure it take a deer i had a video of my dad shooting it but my blackbery died before i was able to transfer it. kinda fragile ammo big PITA to clean. but its better than being a wall hanger shooting some obsolete rimfire round that hasnt been made in a 140 years.
you can see the inside of the hammer has a groove for the nipple. the last pic you can see the nipple and the square rimfire firing pin when the action is close and hammer is cocked .
