Side By Side Mouse Comparison

In Case anyone would like to see a Comparison of
an 1862 .36 Cal Police with 4 1/2" Barrel Next to the Uberti 1849 Pocket .31 Cal.
Here they are along with the Remington Pocket .31 Cal and the NAA Super Companion .22 1 5/8" Barrel

i just got the Pocket Police i am not sure at this time if
i am Happy with it or not.

Or if i will Decide to Shorten the Barrel to 2 3/4" losing the Loading Lever

Thanks

Unfortunate i am not able to just go out shooting as many of you can
I am originally a new Yorker trying to Get use to living in NC.

i use to practice shooting with small revolvers in my Dads Basement of his Italian Cuisine many years ago when i was a Youngin lo.l

i Rarely get chance to fire a few shots on our Property, as we have Families that live not too far from me,

We have a lot of Land but im still cautious
and we have a friendly Sherif near by that tells me about a place not to fat from here i can Practice.

So Mostly i like to take them apart put them together again
Make them feel More like Guns rather then toys when i Unbox them.

OR the Kirst Conversion i did on my SS Buffalo which came out nice

BG, there are two different 62' Police's sized frames, the one built by Uberti, the original Colt sized frame, and the one built by Pietta, the bigger frame, which one do you have?

My Apologies for not answering you sooner.

i went Straight to sleep soon after i posted that last one,

It is an Uberti and The Barrel is 4 1/2" i was told it is a rare one that is not listed in the catalog.

Also if you Notice in the Parts Catalog they happen to have 3 1/2" Barrel for this Police Model.
But i dont see a Loading lever for that Size so i guess its meant for no Loading Lever
and i am always fond of the Lever Mostly for the Looks.

When i did the Kirst Conversion for my SS Buffalo, i did not Bother with Putting in an Ejection Rod,
as to me it looked ugly and Decided to keep the Loading lever in.

Stainless

Yes Pancho

It was all Steel and Blued.
Blued is a nice finish but i also like the look of Stainless Steel.

Which is why i also have at least two Brass Frame Revolvers,
to add to the collection. i also like that Two Toned Look.

Yes Strp the Blue Off i usually prefer to take the grips off when i do
and Plug up each end of the barrel.

After i am done with all that, i hand polish it with
Mothers Aluminum Polish.
You can do it with a Machine but its more Fun doing it as you watc TV.

And no i do not mean During 4 Episodes of Cops lol

An old Tshirt Hellps you see the Black coming off and each time
you Buff it starts to shine more.

So there are Variations of how Shiny you want it You can Take it further and Further till it looks like a Mirror.

That is another reason i buy Clylinders Blued to save Money.

If You do one Please Show it to Me id love to see it.

fussy to shoot but it's my favorite gun in my collection. If yours is SS I am envious.
PM Sent
