Just finished this guy up.
I cut down the barrel with a hacksaw then squared with a machine square and a sharp bastard file. Then I slowly removed barrel material until approx 15mm round.
I then threaded the muzzle with a 15mm die.
Then using the file again removed most of the threads.
Using a 30 Cal 14mmLH die starter I then threaded the muzzle to ak style threads nice and concentric.
Measured concentricity? With a caliper.
Used a drill and a brass screw to crown the barrel with lapping compound.
Using a 14mm spark plug washer on the base I screwed on the muzzle device and indexed it to vertical with a strap wrench.
Drilled the pin hole
Cut off the base of a spare drill bit of the same size and tapped it in with a punch.
Tig welded the pin in place
Polished trigger internals
Scuffed with red scotch Brite and painted with metallic pearl black engine paint.
16.5in overall barrel length with pinned and welded extended amd65 muzzle break.
Topped with Ncstar pistol scope and 3/8base rings to the original rear sight base.
Archangel Mosin stock and Harris bipod.
