Hey guys, I posted here about 6 months ago looking for advice on starting to reload. Lost Sheep gave me some great advice and I checked out Kempf Gun Shop. After rereading ABCs of Reloading twice, and waiting for supply to loosen up, I'll finally be calling Kempf on Monday to place my order. Would someone be willing to check this purchase list and tell me what I may need to add or delete?
I will initially be reloading only for .45-70 Gov't and .45 ACP, though I will add calibers as I become more experienced (.38/.357, .30/06, .30/30 and whatever cartridge my next rifle is - probably 6.5x55 or .284)
My purchase list:
- Kempf Kit with Lee Classic Turret Press - Caliber .45/70, Pro Auto Disk Powder Measure Upgrade
- Lee Case Conditioning Kit - cutter, lock stud, primer pocket cleaning tool, chamfer tool
- Lee Adjustable Charge Bar
- Blueberry 400 Tumbler Combo
- Stainless Steel Dial Caliper
- Lee Carbide Deluxe Pistol Die Set - .45ACP
- Lee Factory Crimp Die - .45/70 Gov't
I need to add a scale, but I would prefer an analog one, which Kempf does not show on their website. I may source this elsewhere.
Thanks for all your help.
