Show us a picture of your reloading bench

Yes walkg, that's probably true for some.

But some are just able to be neat in our work. I watched my mother spend hours looking for the most basic of things (like her purse). That taught me to put stuff back when I was done with it.

I don't have so much time in my life that I am willing to just throw it away. YMMV, of course. :)

The room is about 850 sq feet. Plus a nice big walk in closet. Believe me, it fills up fast. Right now I'm building an island in the middle to have more counter top and to set up another LNL ap with case feeder.

I really do wish they would make it a sticky again... It was once and they took it down.. This thread is one of the oldest AND BEST on the web for reloading room/bench idea's... It NEEDS to be stuck again!:what:

Who's with me??:what:

Definitely me! There are many good ideas that others have implemented which would be of considerable benefit to the rest of THR's family in my opinion.

New Old Guy first post. Just a few photos of my portable bench setup. Out of necessity I had to go only portable. After many years of having a dedicated reloading room, I had to downsize.The good side is I can reload from my computer chair or any where I need to. Since I recently got back into reloading I went with a Lee press kit - it was all I could find. I really do like it though. I was shocked at the cost of equipment and supplies after an 8 year hiatus.:what:

royesses, I've got the same stand, but mine is still factory virgin. Your improvements are awesome! That stand deserves a thread of its own.

How do the turrets get locked in so they don't dislodge when closing the "doors?" I've laser cut furniture grade plywood to hold them but they must remain upright.

Thanx for the kind words. I used a 3" hole saw to make the holes. Then I drilled a 1/4" hole 5/16" from the edge of the hole. I epoxied in a 1/4" bolt. I used a shell holder from the Lee press to hold in the turret and a wing nut to hold down the shell holder. Each turret has the correct shell holder for the die set it holds. There is not enough clearance for the turret to get out of the hole and past the shell holder flange.

about 50 years as a mechanic/ weldor/fitter. My dad built and drove racing cars and started me at age 11 to do the same. Bad health got in the way of racing.

I've been busy rebuilding my reloading/gun room. I had hoped to get rid of the carpet in the room and replace it with ceramic tile and the other side of the room (not in these pics) is a mess! That's where my computer station is, tool box, bookcase wadda, wadda, wadda. :D But here's were the action is;

First the reloading press bench;

This bench is were I work on my guns. The computer hooked to that monitor and keyboard has old software and databases for reloading that I can't run on my newer computer.

Next is my ammo storage. Most of it goes into a old Stack-on gun cabinet I added shelves to. Here it is all locked up;

And now open;

You'll see that aside from 22's, almost all the ammo I shoot, I reload. I buy very little loaded ammo.
