What powder is best for the 80-90gr. Bullets in .243win? Would it be h4350 or h4831 ,h414. Re19.

I like H380 for 85 grain bullets. Shoots extremely accurate in the wife's Ruger 77 and meters like you wouldn't believe. You can set the measure and load forever without adjusting.

RL-22, H-4831SC and IMR-4350 all shoot about the same in my 243, which is great! I don't know of a 243 that will not shoot ok with 4350. Its a pretty easy cartridge to load for. Lightman

I've pretty much always gone with IMR-4350, but recently I started doing some development with IMR-4831, RL19, and RL22. I really like RL22 and will likely be sticking with it from now on. The others have produced stellar results also, but RL22 is just so nice, and allows for such easy pressure management.

If the OP had mentioned what he has for powder stock, it would be easier to recommend, as we don't know if the powders that he mentioned are what he has, or if they are just a wish list.
It's getting to be that with the shortages, that you can't always get what you want.

What bullet weight for Re22.

Right now I'm loading the 90 gr with RL22, but I've tried it with 115 gr. bullets as well with great results.

I was originally tried RL22 for the 6mm Rem, cause that was what I had on hand and the data was there. As it turned out I was extremely pleased. So when my Son came to me with a new .243 win and asked me to load for his up coming deer hunt, I thought why not give it a try since I had plenty on hand.

But as I stated in my previous reply, I've also had great performance with RL19, IMR-4350, and IMR-4831. I even gave H1000 a try, but that wasn't a winner for me, it was rather spikey, and difficult to manage pressures, not to mention unacceptable accuracy.

Give me a day to dig that info up as I just moved and my log books are boxed up at the moment. Tomorrow I have to shampoo carpets too, so a day please, and I'll have that for ya 243winxb. But if memory serves me correctly, I think the 115's are Nosler's, almost certain, but let me dig that up.

BTW, the 90 gr. 6mm loads printed a 5 shot group that could be covered with a quarter at 200 yds.. My Son shot some of those yesterday.
