I took my wife Terry out yesterday to get in a little range time before taking her hog hunting today...

This is Terry's "Baby Rifle" - A T/C Contender carbine in 7mm TCU...

The bullet of choice is Sierra's 160 gr. B.T.-H.P. Game King...

3-shot groups averaged 7/8" or less at 150 yds...

I shot the little guy, just for the grill. It was only 60 lbs...

I'm gonna have a European skull mount of Terry's Hog and I'll post a picture of that, once we get it back....

Good to see that one out of the gene pool! I sure hope you don't plan to eat that nasty thing though.....

Wow that thing is huge. On a sidenote, why so many scope rings on her gun? Did you have problems with it sliding under recoil with just 2? Im not judging - Ive just never seen that setup before, so Im curious.

Wow. A pig with dreadlocks! I've never seen that before.

Are those scope rings are good enough to merit a second pair, or what's going on there?

I could not keep the scope from slipping in the rings with one set, so I added a second set and lightly dusted the bottom halves of the rings with rosin. That scope has not moved since....

That hog did not smell near as bad as what we thought it would...

The small piggy went on the grill and the big hog will be ground and made into sausage....

Firstly congrats to your wife on an awesome pig.

Dude you gotta get that scope sorted, a set of decent fitting blued rings will make a huge difference to the performance and then appearance. You say there is no recoil, this makes it a big problem as 6 rings to hold a scope when there is no recoil? It is a question of time before the scope moves again and it will probably be on a hunt.

Well....... my wife likes the rifle, it fit's her perfectly, it has killed everything the crosshairs have settled on and.............oh well....

I picked up over 110 lbs. of sausage from our game processor yesterday. He showed me the hide they skinned off that 500 lb. hog, and amazingly, those two bullets passed completely through, with exit holes as big as a quarter...

Here are a couple of pictures of the skull we got back...

This hog was very healthy and still growing! There is no telling just how big he would have gotten....

That was a PROPER feral hog! Amazing what a 7mm bullet at medium velocity will do in the penetration department. There was another guy who discovered the same in regards to a 7mm bullet at medium velocity and deep penetration about 110 years ago in Africa.;)

I dunno about some of the criticism. I think the stainless muzzle brake and stainless rings set off the black perfectly, and if four sets of split loop rings obviously work, I would not change it. If anyone says anything, flash a snapshot of that trophy skull!

Nice. Thanks for the pic and the info that it was good eating ground. With spices sausage is probably a good choice.
