It's 2 pounds plus with a 4" barrel.
And if a more Fugly pistol has ever been built in recent times, I can't think of it.
No idea on what parts wear out, because there are probably only a few of them in heavy use in the entire USA.

The weapon is like a steel brick so I would immagine little could break in it but other then brief examination I have no experience with this pistol. There are plenty of owners on Military Handgun portion of Gunboard's Forums. Might want to post there if you have not done so already.
While not as ponderous as my MAB-15 it is pretty hefty weapon.

No broken parts on either of mine.
I have read where one owner had a firing pin fracture & another owner had an extractor break.
The fix was to use altered Walther P38 or P1 parts as the Croatian creation borrowed heavily from the Walther & Beretta designs.

Wearable or Broken Parts on PHP MV ?
When I received mine from my FFL dealer, the slide lock spring end was jammed between the magazine and the magazine well, and the magazine would not extract from the well. The dealer seemed to work it loose, and appeared to be in operating condition. I'm so particular about my cannons that I took it to my gunsmith to be sure. It apparently is OK now. By the way, I'm nuts about the gun.

PHP MV jams
I recently shot my PHP MV . There were 3 failures to feed (between mag and chamber), out of approx. 12 rds., in 2 mags, so it wasn't just the mag. I thought the gun was clean and lubed enough . Have any of you had the same problem ? Maybe the slide and receiver need buffing ? Perhaps the loading ramp needs buffing down or building up ? Please share any info you have . I haven't located a reliable gunsmith yet . Failure to feed (jams) PHP MV-9
