He is local, former tattoo artist, formally trained in hand engraving. Makes a living mostly selling his chainsaw carvings.

Woodwork is nearing completion on Project Mannlicher.
Next time we see it should have some great checkering.

I just don't have time to reload, I think they will work fine for chasing whitetails.

Not a whole lot to show per se, stock is at a friends house getting checkered, this is it half way through:

Got first coat of finish in the new checkering, picked up a nice Leupold M8 fixed 4x for it as well.
Only thing we are waiting on is the bolt handle which is a figured walnut ball to match the stock.

Bolt work is done. Bolt handle is walnut root and should match the stock nicely.

It is indeed. The handle was threaded and the ball has a metal insert.
