Must have!

The little Foltses are dandy.

The silhouette looks like a starving aardvark or something, but for $25 and change, go for it. It might make a good linoleum knife if nothing else. Of course, if you don't need a linoleum knife... ;)

Somebody slap some sense into me!

Ok, here goes - Unless your paws are sized just right for those finger grooves you won't find it a good fit and ulitmately won't carry it. The steel isn't up to yard work. The color is "wrong". It looks too much like a ...

Sam, that thing have enough meat to comfortable grip? looks mighty small.

It is comfortable enough to use as a whittler with no issues.

Truth be told, I wouldn't mind knocking off a bit off of the height of the finger grooves.

JShirley and I are in agreement that the minimalist is one of the few fully finger grooved knives that isn't annoying.

I don't know?

I looks ideal to me for fence monsters.

Stick it behind the offending sapling or vine and jerk straight back.

Niiiice.

I coulda used one last week while ripping out old carpeting at a friend's house. Bugger-all if I could find a hawkbill knife, the one thing that seems like it was specifically designed to cut carpeting out.

Might have to pick one of those up! I like the sheath, too.

Well, so much for someone taking some sense into me.

Too late!
I just ordered one.

We shall see what we shall see when it gets here, I guess?

I guess I'm the only one that likes full size handles. I have a few knives like that and never use them because I can only get 2 or 3 fingers on the handle. When I made knives I made a skinner with a 2 1/4" blade but it still had a 5" handles for real work.

Yes, I agree.
I like full size handles too.

Most all of the knives in my extensive collection are full size.
I just never owned a neck-knife before, or even a Karambit type knife before, and decided I like that one.
Or even a fixed blade that small if you don't count a few little pocket knives.

For my very specific use that Folts Keramin may or may not work?
But it's only money, and not much at that.
I spent more tonight on dinner for my wife & I.

Besides.
Maybe you can teach an old dog new tricks?

If you feed him different treats?
And can get him to try them!

But it's only money

That's what I told the wife just today when I "needed" $55 worth of guitar stuff. Could've spent a lot more but I showed some restraint for once. lol

Sure, go for it. You can always sell it as "LNIB" if you don't like it. :)

I just picked up the CRKT version of the Folts SPEW the other day myself. I was torn between that and the Minimalist but at $25 coldn't avoid the temptation to try it, even though I have enough knives to last me a lifetime already.

Well, I never got an order confirmation email from Knife Center last night so I called today to see if my order went through.

The nice lady said they entered my email address wrong and corrected it.

Then she said I just got in under the wire last night before they went into back-order status.

Must have been a lot of people got that email special add and liked that Folts Keramin too.

The sheath that comes with those is pretty neat in its own right. Nicest sheath I've seen on a $25 knife. The edge bevel on mind looked like it was ground by drunk monkeys - about 6-7 degree difference between the sides and 1-2 degrees difference from one end of the same side to the other end.

Frustrating to resharpen but it is like a scalpel now. Interesting to see how long that lasts. Very cool design though.
