Oh, Alan Folts's little knives are amazing! If you've got a little cash, the customs are actually very affordable as well.

I seems Knife Center got a little carried away with that sale email.

It's been three days since I ordered, and still no order confirmation email, or credit card charge.

The lady told me the other day when I called to check if my order went through, that I just got in under the wire before they went back-order status.

She must have been looking at the wrong wire?

I was expecting it to be halfway here by now based on other dealings with them.

Well darn!

First it appears Knifecenter.com didn't have any of them to ship for 6 days in the first place.
Then they finally got a Round Tuit yesterday, shipped, and sent me the tracking info.

Now, it has made it 80 miles in 30 hours.
And is stuck in a UPS truck in Fredicksburg, VA waiting out the Mother of all 2" Snow Storms to pass through!!!!!

We got 3 ice storms and 29" of snow total here so far this year.
And the pizza guy in a old Honda with bald tires didn't even miss a delivery!!!!

Well, I over-reacted last night.
It showed up in the mailbox today.
Either USP & USPS got it 1,152 miles, and through 3 sorting facilities in 8 hours?
Or the tracking software was snowed in instead of the truck?

It is a pretty neat little knife.
Overall quality is great, sheath is great, grind is even on both sides, fits my hand like a glove, and it slices paper with no problem.

It was a good buy for $28.94 total, even if it does turn out to be useless for cutting Fence Monsters next spring.
Gives me something new to play with for a while anyway.

Cool knives; I ordered the Wharncliffe version of that blade. Let's see how fast I get mine; turns out that the company's not even been in office for the last few days due to the weather out east.

Might have to wait a while.

That pretty much distills down the reasons why I have been buying new knives lately. I hope you have fun with that creature. Got a Cold Steel Tuff Lite for essentially the same reasons and I think I like this little knife.

Well, just a follow-up.

I have been using the Folts Keramin Neck Knife quite a bit in the yard this spring.

Just really handy for reaching in and clipping of unwanted vegetation with just a straight back tug.

Not much good for anything else though.

It's hard to sharpen as expected.
But it holds an edge long enough you don't need too very often.

A few strokes on a round diamond rod and it's good as new.

K'bits started out as agricultural tools and it is good to see they're still good for that use.

I brought the tanto and bowie. I was going to buy the keramin, but also every reviewer I seen stated that the tip broke off easily. Even while doing a unboxing on youtube, the tip broke off in a couple of videos. The tanto came shaving sharp (even sharper than my kershaw and becker came). I've been EDC'ing the bowie religiously since I got it though.

I will prob. end up getting the Wharncliffe and keramin anyway just to have a complete collection.

Unless you have hands roughly a quarter size larger than a Barbie doll, I'll get back to you as soon as I cut a hickory sapling the right size for my grip.

Proper tools with a proper fit and all that.
The grip is actually comfortable and not to bad IMHO. You grip/hold it within your fingers and not in the palm of your hand like most knives... The price has dropped too. They now can be found for $18-$24 between Ebay and Amazon.

You would have to understand the concept before passing that kind of judgement.

I was lopping of 5/16" tree limbs with it this afternoon.
And my hand, or the knife is no worse for wear tonight.

Yard work was my justification for my sog fasthawk...and it's dandy for that and turning small fish into bait hunks. This thing looks nifty but I can't figure out a use for it.
