Starline 357 mag brass

I've been waiting for 3 months for the .327fed mag cases that they said they would run after they got enough orders.

What can we do but wait. .357 will probably be ran before the .327 will, it undoubtedly in more demand.

Hurry up and wait.

@Marlin 45 carbine - I bought .45 Super brass from Starline and I was very pleased with it as well. I have the Marlin Camp .45 carbine too and I was wondering if you are shooting full Super loads without modifying the gun?

Last week the 45 colt went from "will run when sufficient demand is met" to "no backorder available because of extreme demand". Now it is back to "run when sufficient demand". So I would think that a case with high demand (like 357 mag or 45 colt) should reach "sufficient quantity" fairly quickly.

When demand for everything is high, estimating demand becomes an exercise in futility.

If you check the Starline website on a regular basis, you will happen upon brass that can be backordered. I was able to order 357 mag around Christmas, which shipped Jan 13. They have an e-mail notification, but it only works when the production is above the backorders.

Also, when the 45 colt said unavailable for backorder, I called and they put me on backorder. Might try calling.

I have a few thousand *-* cases in .357 Magnum, and in my opinion they are first-rate, reasonably priced, and durable.

I think their notification e-mail thingy might be flawed as I never received a notification they were available; I just kept checking their website until I snagged some. YMMV.

I also have Starline cases in .40 S&W, .38 Special +P (for shotshells only) and just got some .45 Colt brass this week. Man, that .45 Colt brass is heavy-duty!

ZERO complaints here- nothing but good to say about *-*.

Yep. I never received an email either.

Powder Valley has new Winchester 357 brass in stock ready to sell.

I'd prefer Starline but nothing at all wrong with WW, besides being more expensive.

Backordered 357 mag brass last fall. Site shortly after stated no backorder available and the same status was noted on my order information. Emailed Starline questioning status of my order and did not receive a response. Lo' and behold, 6 weeks later received my brass! Great cases, confusing system.

For those worried about how long it is going to take, I just checked and they are not accepting orders for 357 or 45 Colt so I would say your brass if you ordered it will be shipping fairly soon!!

I was in the previous order group for 45 Colt and I believe it was posted a date of Feb, 17th or so. the brass arrived last week.

A while ago when I backordered some .357 Magnum brass I had a similar situation- the current status on my order reflected what was on their web page ("NOT AVAILABLE/NO BACKORDERS") instead of what it really was- simply on backorder. I e-mailed them and I got a response as follows:

Alex

Your order has shipped. The tag you saw online would be for if you were trying to place that order right now. I apologize for the confusion. Thank you for your order and patience.

I agree, it is rather confusing and they should fix the link errors.

Their system definitely is confusing. I just happened to catch them as in-stock Friday and ordered 500. Then when I check the status of my order it shows No longer taking orders due to extreme demand. From what some of you are saying, hopefully it should be shipping soon. If not, at least I am on the list I guess.

Might have already shipped. I got nothing either time I ordered from them. Just showed up at the door. And yes, the one time the status changed on my order information on the website. It just indicates the current status of the product, not your status. So if it was available when you ordered it, it should show up within a week from order date.

The only thing I got when mine shipped was a UPS shipping notification. This was right from UPS. Didn't say who the shipper was. Took me a bit to figure out because both Sierra and Starline are located in the same town.

I didn't get that either time. To be fair, one time I ordered over the phone (when online said no backorders), but I specifically asked the lady to send me an email when my order shipped. Didn't get one. The other time was over the Internet and no shipping notification. Not a big concern. There brass is great and worth the inconvenience of not getting a shipping notification.
