Anyone CC a Full Size CZ75

I have both the 75B and P01 and the P01 is definitely a much better option for CC. I consider the P01 one of the best jack of all trades guns there is. I've thrown the 75B on a few times going out in the winter under a heavy coat, but I wouldn't want it to be a main CC gun. Honestly, the P01 isn't my main CC weapon either, but gets carried way more than the 75B. It's even still a bit too big in some cases.

The 75 is an awesome range gun.....heck, is a good all around gun. But I prefer the PCR for carry.

Definitely prefer the P01 for CCW over the CZ75.

Full size 75B 9mm or .40 S&W is my favorite choice, until summer t-shirt and shorts weather is here. I invested in a good belt (Jim The Beltman) and a SuperTuck, and this big hunk of steel feels just fine. Hang anything on a cheap and flimsy belt and you will be unhappy and buying holsters contantly.

The full size 75 is not that large of a pistol and is quite easy to carry. Having said that, I then went to the 75 Compact and now a Tristar C100 for the lighter weight.

I had a 75bd for years and carried it OWB. Being all steel and 16+1 on board, it can be quite heavy for carry. The length would also plunk on a chair if i didnt adjust accordingly. Much as I hated to do it, I sold it and got a P01 which is substantially lighter.

I've come to realize there is nothing a regular 75 can do that a P01 can't. It's been quite a performer in our local matches when my 97b isn't being used.

Look at it this way. It's about the same weight as a 1911 but you have a lot more rounds on board.

Tristar C100 is a great option. They're light because of the aluminum frame, come with two 14 round magazines, and are compact enough to carry comfortably.

Carry a CZ 75b year around for about the last 3 yrs but sold it and looking for a CZ 75 shadow to take it's place.

I'm carrying an 85 Combat under my scrubs right now in a hybrid holster. Not the easiest to hide but it can be done.

I have a 75B, and PCR, and agree with the above. The PCR is my main carry gun. Like the P-01, it is a great "jack of all trades" gun too.

I've carried pretty much everything in the modern CZ line concealed at some point: 78B, 97B, RAMI P, PCR, Phantom. Much ado about nothing. All are easily concealed as long as one knows the craft.

The Phantom gets the most carry these days simply because I tired of having to switch holsters and mags between duty carry and off duty carry.

Great thing about the cz is that it probably has the slimmest, smallest slide profile of any full size. Even more so than a 1911. It probably takes up the least volume of any standard handgun...any glock, hk, xd, m&p, sig, fn...etc seems like a thick brick next to it, even the compacts. I found my cz to conceal and fit quite well. It was just the weight thats the problem..

If you like the CZ size but want a lighter weight, the Tristar L120 is a good choice because of the noticeably lighter aluminum alloy frame. I bought one a few days ago and I continue to be impressed with the Canik line. I also have a CZ75B and it is excellent but as you say the weight is a bit more than desired.

CZ makes three lightweight aluminum alloy framed Compacts, and several polymer full size, and compact pistols which are also lighter weight. No need to get a Canik unless you want one.

Look at the P07 duty.

P-07 is excellent, especially the updated version new for this year, incorporating many of the new features of the P-09. In a CZ poly pistol, I prefer the SP-01 Phantom,



Unfortunately, the Phantom is no more, having been discontinued for the new P-09 line. However, the P-09 is also outstanding. Big to carry, though.

The CZ PCR is an incredible carry pistol, alloy frame, DA/SA with decocker, load chamber indicator, Novak style low mount sights, 14 round mag, everything you could want from a compact 9mm carry pistol.



Also a fan of the P-01, almost the same pistol but with standard sights and an M3 rail forward.



Lots of options. Nothing wrong with the Canik, actually fired one the other day, shown here,



Dimensions looked a little "off" to me, but that was most likely because it is closely cloned from a CZ Compact, but sized a wee bit differently. Worked just fine, IIRC.

Not to derail this thread, but I'm curious. For those who carry the 75B, in which condition do you carry it? cocked and locked or hammer down ? I ask because I'm considering this gun for a CCW course and was wondering about the most common way it is carried.

CZ 75b CCW Fobus paddle covered by shirt, cocked and locked.

IWB with the hammer down. The right holster makes a big difference.

I normally carry a Walther P99 in 9mm, with a hybrid IWB holster. It is listed as 5.3" high. The CZ compacts are listed as 5.03" and the full size CZ75 as 5.40".

What are your opinions??

The CZ75 Compact (or "75B Compact", as some people like to call them) is the smaller size but is heavier (due to the steel frame) and has correspondingly lighter recoil.

When I carry mine, I carry it cocked and locked, but that only makes sense, since it is a single-action.
