I was very excited to find this in my buddy's shop. Its a SIG Scorpion 1911 with the traditional slide profile, the G10 magwell grips and mainspring housing, and sans rail. I have wanted the scorpion for some time. But I didn't want a railed one. I didn't even know they made one without the rail and the normal 1911 slide profile is a rare find too.

Is that full sized, or is it commander size?

Love the lack of rail!!! Nice clean lines.

Its the commander sized model. I would have prefered the government size model but as I had never before seen the traditional slide profile scorpion and lack of the rail; I jumped on it!

My P220 carry is almost commander length, and it also came without the rail. Sig seems to produce the commander-sized variants without the rail. Interesting.

Congrats, I have the same only a fullsize model. It is a nice pistol for sure.

What's the actual Sig sku / model number on that 1911. ?

I have the "carry" version of the 1911 Scorpion, but I like the non-railed dust cover on yours.

I had a Scorpion, and sold it. Not because it's not a nice pistol, but because I really wanted the Ruger. I was happy with the Sig, I am just as happy with the Ruger, so it worked out.
