slick little rig, there. i handled one not long ago and really lied how it felt. i'd love to add one to the stables at some point.

how's it shoot?

I would totally cc that. And be mad that I couldn't show it to everyone I came in contact with

Didn't you have a birds head grip before wheelysfun
Yes, this is my second Ruger Birdshead in 45acp.
I loved the first one, but anyone who "knows" me from gun forums....knows that I often buy/sell/trade guns, and I had sold the first one off.

For those who say that they would conceal carry it.....you know I will!
I have an El Paso Saddlery IWB holster on order, as well as the Mernickle high ride/cross draw holster.

Full range report to follow (soon....)

Looks very nice.

I just recently got bit by the birdshead grip fever, although I prefer the Thunderer style grip, which, unfortunately, is not available on the Ruger.

I thought about getting a set of BH grips & strap for my stainless Vaquero from GunGrips.com, but opted for this instead:

Wow that's a beaut, I assume the hammer change wasn't just for aesthetic purposes?
The hammer was swapped, largely for aesthetic reasons, but also for the lower hammer spur.
The Power Customs kit also comes with Wolf springs for the main spring/trigger spring, as well as the hammer/trigger being "mated" well together.

The entire package results in a Ruger that is.....un-Ruger-like in it's trigger action

Did the Bisley hammer drop in, or did the grip frame need to be modified? Ruger's Bisley hammer won't drop into a standard frame without modification. Not sure if the Power Custom hammer will.
The grip frame had to be relieved a few thousandths between the ears of the frame (left side) and in the rear (where hammer meets the frame).

I had my gunsmith do this......as I don't trust myself with files!

I wish Ruger would make that same gun, but in 357mag. I would love to have that look, but using 38 Specials in it.

These do look nice. I also kinda like the looks of the Montado model (you can get that one in 38/357 too) but those are not easy to find either.
