Yes it's just a silly online poll, but if it swings in their favor you can bet it will be drudged up as 'fact' for the next anti-gun article.
"See, even our own polling shows most people favoring more gun control".

That's exactly it. That's why we keep hitting these polls. Not to mention the people voting in favor of gun control can see they are in the minority which may dent their belief that 'most Americans want this'.
