Midway has SK Rifle Match right now (same as Wolf Match Extra). $98/500
Way high for that ammo. You could have gotten Lapua Center X for just a little more. It is far superior. Same lube too. Rifle Match is only slightly better than Standard+ and should run $65-$70. Standard+ runs $55-$60.

Unfortunately what .22lr should run and is available for don't always match up right now.

The Standard Plus at Midway last week was $58, which is decent, but the best I've seen recently for Rifle Match is the $87 Grafs had the other day.

Edit: Historically, hasn't the difference between them (and Wolf MT vs ME) been more than $10 per brick?

Two different clerks at a regional discount store (Rural King) have told me that, in order to have something on the shelves for their shoppers, are buying their .22LR ammo from a "middleman". They are also selling it at over $50/brick (various quantities 500-555).
JTHunter, I bet I know the rural king you are talking about. They are now selling 525 boxes of federal for $65. I just had to laugh at that. Yet someone will pay it.

There must be more in the supply stream now. In the past week I've gotten a lot of online notices at .09 / .10 rd, and some as low as .04 rd with a limit of 2-50rd boxes. Just got a notice for a 5000 rd case at .09 rd ($45 brick). Still pricey but available.

Telling us the price per round for random unidentified ammo isn't particularly helpful.

I'd love to pay $0.09 per round for Wolf MT

.22 Ammo Info

Brand, type, amount of rds., and price are helpful.
As much info you are able to give (including source, i.e. Cabela's) plus tax and/or S&H would be good. :)

Gun Master - if I listed every .22 that was in stock today, this would be a long post. It seems Academy must of got in a bunch. Midway did too. The way to get the email alerts is to go to wikiarms http://www.wikiarms.com/ and then sign up to get email alerts for .22 (or whichever caliber you are searching for) along with a price point (I chose 10 cents a round and it sends emails for 10 cents a round or less). Then when it comes in stock - they will email along with a link to whichever company has it in stock. In the last day there have been email alerts for midway, academy, cabelas, sgammo, midsouth, and a few companies I haven't heard of before.

Thanks, bro.
You provided great info. re: online ammo feeds.

My posting #930 was for those not giving full info when making a post.
Oh well, none of us are perfect, including yours truely.

I have learned from you, however. Muchos gracias, and good shooting!:)

My bad. I thought by now all the various on line tracking apps had been posted SOOOO many times people knew about them. My post was for those who quit looking when none was available. If I have to post ALL the specifics, just send me your CC info and I'll order it for you. Best deal out there yesterday was Blazer for .05 rd (but limit was 100rds), free shipping over $39 at Acadamy. Now if you can't figure out how to make the free shipping work. Buy several limited items, throw in a box of pistol ammo or cleaning supplies to get to $39...then they ship free. Thought I'd explain it so I don't get accused of not providing enough information :)

I just bought two 50 rd boxes of Champion brand at academy for $2.29 each. The limit was two. They got plenty of stocks behind the counter with Aguila costing more. It s not looking any better but at least its not as bad. And btw its been a year since i was able to buy a 500 rd box for $22, the cheapest so far. So this is a good day for me in some sort.... America, the land of freedom !

The land of the "free?" and the ".22 poor".;)

Since we are beginning to see more conflicts in Eastern Europe, Middle East and the African continent, it will call for more ammo production . We hope .22 LR will get better as changes take place inspite of these wars.

I have purchased a little over 8,000 rds over the past three weeks. It seems like it is getting better here in central Arkansas. Academy almost always has some even though they have their paltry limits. Walmart has some intermittently versus having none for almost a year. Bass Pro is getting it pretty consistently, and a few local gun shops are getting it.

I was at Cabela's in Buda, TX earlier this week and they had an entire end cap on the ammo aisle FILLED with .22s, both CCI and now, Federal. CCI standard velocity has been available there for over a month at $4.95/50, but other brands were nonexistent until this week - they had both 400 round bricks of Federal American Eagle (at $23.99) and 325 round bulk packs of Federal Auto Match at $17.99, which works out to about 5.5 cents a round. Not really what you'd call cheap, but at least it was available, and cheaper than the gun show & internet gougers. (And I had a coupon which effectively knocked another 20% off the price. ) Limit was 1 box if it contained 100 or more rounds.

So it would seem that either manufacturers actually HAVE resumed production, or the hoarders who've been intercepting product before it ever got to retail level are now sitting on a MOUNTAIN of .22s they can't sell at 18 or 20 cents a round, and have stopped stocking up. (I hope they choke on it.)

Either way, the worst may be over . . . but I expect it will still be a while before Cabela's starts featuring .22lr in their ammo sales.

Target Sports USA had buckets of Rem .22LR the other day, don't know if any is left.
1400 rnds $130

Personally I'm not willing to spend another penny on Remington's piece of crap rimfire

I turned it down at $69.99 a tub at our local shop - $130 for 1,400 rds?

I don't think so...

We live in the Chicago SW burbs, so there is about a dozen walmart superstores and sam's clubs nearby. They have definitely been getting more 22LR ammo recently.

Wednesday night stopped in for a couple items with the Misses. Stock guys were putting pallets of goods out in the isles. Somehow got separated and ended up near sporting goods while looking for kitty litter. :) Low and behold there was a carton of Winchester m22 1000 round bricks!

Had to call someone to help me at the firearms desk. My better half found me before a manager showed up and informed me we have enough of that stuff at home. But I did get a price check anyway: $50.

For those that don't like Remington .22 LR - as a public service, send it to me and I'll shoo....errrr... I mean dispose of it for you. :D :D

I only have 150 rounds of the crap left.

I sold over 6,600 rounds of it at a profit right after the panic started.

Good freaking riddance

Didn't really need 'em, but figured I'd buy since it's been so long since I bought something from my local shop - he got in a small amount of the Federal AutoMatch for $24.99 / box (325 rds) - too high for me (but not real bad), but I know our local low cost dealer is not gouging, so I figured I'd buy a box to help him out.

Got 'em in a few days ago and he still had some on the shelf - 22 is not flying out the store like it was.

He also had some CCI MiniMags ($9.99 / 100) and said he sold all the non-AutoMatch Federal he had yesterday.

Gun Master - my elderly mother uses that same rifle to pop stinkpot turtles and muskrats on her lake, frequently with Remington ammo. So far, she has not informed me of any F2Fs. :)
