What's your "never buy" gun?

Any gun made by Kahr arms as I don't feel like supporting the Moonies.

I don't believe Kahr Arms has any business association with the Moonies. The firearms manufacture business is kinda in direct opposition to the Moonie doctrine on religion and world peace.

Just because Justin Moon is the son of the church founder doesn't mean the two are fiscally linked.

And don't forget...Justin Moon is also sole owner of Auto-Ordinance and Magnum Research, as well. And he made his position on New York's SAFE Act known when he announced that he was moving Kahr Firearms Group out of New York and into Pennsylvania because of it.

Seems like the kinda guy I'd like...even if I don't find many of his Kahr pistols attractive in appearance.

;)

I have to add one:
The Judge, or the Jury, or whatever the heck those shot shell/cartridge monstrosities are named. They look goofy and aren't really well suited for firing either.

My dad wants one of those Cobray .45/.410 double barreled o/u derringers. He wants it as an easy to carry means to kill poisonous snakes on his property.

In 2005 Moon was appointed chairman of Tongil Group, a South Korean business group associated with the Unification Church.[5] As of 2010 he is in the process of reforming its businesses by hiring new managers and by closing unprofitable operations. Among Tongil Group’s chief holdings are: The Ilwha Company, which produces ginseng and related products; Ilshin Stone, building materials; Tongil Heavy Industries, machine parts including hardware for the South Korean military; and Segye Ilbo, newspaper. It funds the Tongil Foundation which supports Unification Church projects including schools and the Little Angels Children’s Folk Ballet of Korea.[6]

He may not support his father, but the money his company makes sure does

Another black powder revolver.

I used to love shooting them, now it's just a pain to have to clean when I get home.

My buddy has one. And I'm glad he does. It's absolutely asinine but fun to shoot. I wouldn't ever buy one myself but I like that I have a friend who does!

Not bad with a .45 Long Colt but a .410 slug will make a grown man giggle.

For a long time it was an AR15. I just don't get it. And still don't for that matter but my wife shot one and now wants one. I therefore may adjust that position.

Probably another modern polymer pistol. I have two. Its all I need. I will buy 100 revolvers and rifles before I buy another polymer pistol. If I line them all up and squint I can't tell the difference between any of them.

full auto

Nothing full auto. If I were to spend that kind of money on a gun simply because it is full auto, I would have to kick myself every day thereafter. I don't even know what the starting price point would be for something full auto. That opinion might change if the restrictions were to change.

Ya' got me. And I too would gladly shoot someone else's 'Speaker of the House'. Or whatever...
Separately, I'll add one. Or a category. That is, anything from Kel-Tec that most vendors have in stock. Like their little pistols and such. Would never want one. OTOH, they do have a few models that I do want, but are never in stock. It's not like they are sold out. They are NEVER in stock. What's with that?

1) Kahr: My CW9 was problematic from the first time I fired it. It has been extremely unreliable. Quality control was non existent in the firearm they sold me. Very poor quality workmanship and parts go into their polymer pistols from what I have witnessed in my CW9. A pistol shouldn't completely fall apart after 600 rounds. My personal opinion is they are junk. Only offer a 5 year warranty. I rate Kahr polymers an F. I haven't dealt with their customer service yet so I choose to withhold my opinion in that department.

2) Kimber: My Kimber Custom II with the external extractor had a multitude of problems. After battling with Kimber for 6 months and many trips back for repair they finally changed out the slide with an internal extractor. I still have the Kimber and now it is reliable after much work tweaking it myself. I rate Kimbers customer service an F for the way they dealt with the problem. Only a 1 year warranty.

3) Taurus: The Taurus 608 .357 was another never work right revolver. The cylinder would not lock at right place when firing it by double action. It went back to Taurus several times before I sold it back to the LGS where I bought it with full disclosure at a substantial loss. Offer a limited lifetime warranty. But what good does that do if they can't even fix one of their own firearms after several tries. I rate their firearm and customer service both an F.

At present I own close to 50 autoloaders and several dozen wheel guns. My collection consists of Sig Sauer, S&W, Colt, Ruger, Springfield, Walther, Ed Brown, Wilson Combat, and a few others. A few of those that I just listed had minor problems which is understandable however all manufactures made it right with very good to excellent customer service in a reasonable amount of time.

Glock, I know law enforcement love them for their uniformity and bulk prices. But I hate Glock. Everything about them is wrong. Besides, I don't like when you can't tell one gun from the next. Every single factory Glock is almost exactly the same. The differences only come from caliber and whether it's compact or not. COME ON!! There is NO character, beauty or raw strength to Glock. "That's a beautiful Glock!" Said no one ever, while holding a factory Glock. They all look so bland and boring. I'm not saying my EDC is chosen based on looks. But I'd like for each weapon to have some sort of character. Rant is over my friends.

Really? Like what, their pricing and reliability?

I cant stand GLOCK. I cant stand them one bit... The reason I hate the glock? ... and the ar15, are its fans... Super fans of these products like to act as though god himself sent them down the assembly line with malfunction infallibility. Yes Glocks are reliable. No more reliable than my CZ75. And AR15's are cool i guess.. But when the ish goes down, Id much rather have an AK.

Let the hatred begin. I dont care! :)

Awww c'mon. Half of this thread is about opinion and preference. It's not solely dependent on fact. In that regard, I completely agree that Glocks are incredibly boring. But I do respect the fact that they are reasonably priced for the level of dependability and quality they provide. But I too still would rather not own one.
I will add, since we're on the aesthetic side of the aisle, that I would never own a Kimber because I can't stand looking at their giant script logo on the side of the slide. It's bordering on narcissistic how large and pronounced it is, and the script style just doesn't fit with the product on which it's imprinted.
How's that for an opinion based on opinion rather than fact?? :)

But Bingo... If you're gunna drop all them bucks on a Kimber, don't you want everyone to see ????? (sarcasm), I hate advertizing for a company that I already spent huge bucks on their product.

Women are "Beautiful"...scenery is "Beautiful"...sunsets are "Beautiful"...
...GUNS...uh no.:banghead:
What makes an angular steel 1911 intrinsically "Beautiful" over a Glock?
Same basic shape or profile, really...grip, slide...what "Beautiful", the beholder???
I tell you what's "Beautiful"...knowing I can bet my life on it after it is dropped in the mud, dragged around or submerged for a week.
That is goes BOOM, when needed and doesn't need to be lubed like a 60 y.o virgin.:D

You can keep your "Beautiful" safe queens and put those "Beautiful" guns in glass showcases.
I'll take those ugly "Black-Guns", Glocks, AR's ,AK's and the like.
