Ok, this is for us reloaders that like a gratuitous muzzle flash. Do you have any pics? Let's see them! Give us the powder and bullet combo and post them up!

This is a 230gr Winchester JHP(the kind that comes in WWB JHP) loaded over 7.3gr of Power Pistol, fired from my Sig 1911. I had originally loaded them for bowling pin shooting, but they were overkill, IMO.

I still can't understand the fascination with the big fireball but to each there own. Both Power Pistol and Blue Dot are good choices for flame thrower loads. I like Power Pistol for everything but the fireball.I hate having to explain the fireball to the guys at the range. They have accused me of using loads that are not safe. I have cut back on using Power Pistol for that reason.I have loaded some test loads with CFE Pistol hopeing for better results.

Thank Lj for the complement. In my shooting I don't ever notice the flame nor is it something I reload to. I only notice it in pictures.

No way would I cut back on power pistol because other people don't like the fireball, just quit trying to explain it to them.

As far as why people like the flash and blast, why do people install dual exhaust and loud mufflers on cars? Why don't Harley's have really quite mufflers? It's that way because it makes sone of us happy. We like to google like a schoolboy when we let loose with a big old flash and boom load.

People make a hug deal out of muzzle flash but I shoot at night quite frequently. I have no issue shooting loads of power pistol like the one above or magnum loads of 2400. No blindness nor any other ill effects touted by keyboard warriors.

I think a full house load of H110 in a 44 Magnum will light up a range like no other powder!

No pics but flash and boom, Loudshot, I mean Longshot.
Neat pic on 10mm and Blue Dot

Took some video of my Dad and I shooting .223 rifles side by side using the same loads (55gr bullet, 25gr of H335). My rifle had a flash hider, his did not.

I was amazed at how big the difference was, I guess those flash hiders really do work.

The biggest fireball I've seen was from a mosin-nagant rifle. If you miss the bad guy with the bullet it won't matter because you'll burn them to death anyway.

I find it strange that some people are not fascinated by shooting big fireballs..maybe I'm a simpleton.

I have an app on my smartphone called 'Lightning Catcher'. It makes catching muzzle flash easy.I used it to catch muzzle flash from my cap 'n ball revolvers. Works for lightning too.
it is free.
