They are certainly homely, but pretty is as pretty does and they do flat out work.

I like that they are pretty much totally built around function with style being a non-issue for the design. It's a chunky brick of black plastic that goes BANG when you need it to.

Still, not my cup of tea. I think that pretty much everyone else making poly guns makes a better looking one. M&P, SIG, FNH, H&K, etc are all more handsome. I will say that I probably prefer the looks of the Glocks over the Ruger SR series. I just don't find them an attractive pistol at all.

#7. And I do look at aesthetics, but it's not my top priority in any firearm.

Yes, Glock ain't pretty

I like them but think they are ugly. I like the the OD green ones the best and still think they are ugly.

The best holster I've found for them are even ugly.

The black ones are even uglier. I try to find ways to improve the looks but nothing seems to work.

The glock is like a hammer, and like a Hammer I do not purchase it based on whether or not it is aesthetically pleasing.

Form follows function, but jeeze

I appreciate the simplicity, but could the slide have a nicer shape? Spend a buck more on milling you cheap bastages!

Ugly as a caliche rock or alkalie dirt. I don't care about how tough, dependable, or accurate they are, they don't fit my hand so no glocks in my arsenal.

All polymer guns, are ugly I want real steel or SS Not a rejected Mattle toy.
Boy you must be fun at parties hey?

"Here's your drink buddy!"

"What's this? A plastic party cup? Get this junk out of my face and get me a PINT GLASS NOW!".....as you throw it across the room........

Just kidding! I understand your feelings, and prefer steel guns myself. The imagery just made me laugh.

I do actually find some poly guns to pretty decent looking in a Buck Rodgers sort of way.

Thanks for all the input guys! I've really enjoyed seeing what people think about the Glock's looks.

I find it really interesting how to quite a few people (myself included) it seems that the reliability of Glock seems to directly influence how they perceive it aesthetically. Perhaps I should have added an option, "It's kind of grown on me."

So,
51% of the community finds them ugly to one degree or another.
22% of the community doesn't find them good or bad looking, and
27% of the community likes the way they look to one degree or another.

Now, should we run a poll comparing the looks of various polymer handgun models (i.e. Glock, XD(s,m), M&P's, PPX, CZ's, etc..)?

Hmmm....

Little blocky but well proportioned and they look like a gun not a power tool.

I'll take a Glock over some nickel plated sissy pistol anyday.
