No. I bought the gun that way, but they are gorgeous, one-piece style solid elephant ivory! I only wear the gun for ceremonious events.

Great looking photos. I like the case for the Revolver too. Did you buy it cased or is it a separate purchase?

I bought everything separately, the gun from Cabellas when it first came out, I don't remember where I got the case or the rest of the stuff.
I do need the bullet mold however to replace the powder measure in the space on the left. I think I got the loading and cleaning instructions from Dixie Gun Works and pasted it on the lid.

The Dragoons are Improved Walkers and often pictured with them.

But, since you asked, here is my old one, imported by Replica Arms of Marietta Ohio and built by ASM.

Berkley:

Where did you find a shoulder stock with blued frame/grip attachments?

That is awesome as opposed the the "normal" brass fittings that Pietta offers.

The brass patina on the stocked pistol looks old and very nice. Kudos!

I saved your pic in my favorites files and will drool occaisionally. :)

I also love the grip/frame on the lower pistol. Dang! Wish I had more time and money!

IMO, wonderful pistols! Wish they were mine!

There was the old thread "Walker/ Dragoon LRE Club". I don't know how to get the pictures... neanderthal. My Dragoon is on page 5, post 109-110.

If anybody else is interested, DickyDalton has sort of resurrected the "unofficial Walker/ Dragoon LRE Club". So don't be shy, take a look.

Berkley and anyone else with a stocked Dragoon,

What sort of issues do you encounter when using a stocked Dragoon?

What ranges are the flip up sights regulated to?

Does that big honking nut atop the wrist of the stock ever bit your shooting hand or support if you are using it around the small of the stock.

What do you do with your support hand? Just wrap it around the shooting hand? Grasp the small of the butt stock? Hold the butt stock near the butt?

Does the Point of aim change between using the hammer notch rear in one handed shooting and with the stock?

Finally what are the longest shots you have made with the stocked Dragoon on say six gallon bucket sized targets and expected to hit and did so most of the time?

Balls or conicals? Differences in impacts using each sight and at what ranges?

Just want to know.

Thanks.
