When they first came out, due to size, they didn't meet import restrictions. As such, they were only available to law enforcement.

I passed because they were expensive at the time and wanted something more powerful.

TPH

I carried one as an LEO in the early 1980s (a German-made alloy frame .22, back in the day when only law enforcement could get one). It was expensive back then, around $800. Reliable, in the sense of feeding and ejecting; did not always fire in DA mode with some .22 ammo.

I have a S/S Interarms .22 now, which seems to work. I have not tried all sorts of ammo yet.

I always wanted a .25, but they are very hard to find. Still looking.

Took it for a spin...

...and it ran like a top! It fed CCI mini mags and Stingers with zero problems. DA to SA is a little jarring, but I can get used to it. I need to find a couple more mags and I should be good to go! Looks like I got lucky and landed a good TPH!

Congrats, Great Scot! :)

It's funny, but I was going to mention how my Interarms TPH in .22 LR seems to like CCI Mini-Mags and Stingers... I'm glad you were able to find that out from practical experience!

Great Scot

Good to hear that your TPH ran really well. Always wanted one but their price tag and stories of less than stellar performance kept me from looking any further. Have had decent success with diminutive .22s, namely several Beretta Model 21 Bobcats.
