Forgot to mention the 36's will get the barrels relined, so I don't have to mes with heeled bullets. I will also cut my own loading ports. Will be a while, I will post pictures when I do. Will have to learn to post pic's also lol.

This is great reading and learning experience for me. I only own open top Pietta's which I plan to do some mods on. I'm curious what you guys mean about tuning the springs. Do you replace them or thin the flat springs down a bit as we did in the day? I really appreciate the time you guys take...

I know some have plugged the ram hole and slot on 1860 Army barrels after shorting them. Did you glue the plugs in or weld them in? Want to make a snubby. Thank you
