    Smith - Corona 1903a3 for $600.00 ??

Stumbled onto a 1903a3 for sale in a gunshot in SoCal. They're asking $600. Is this anything to jump on? The rifle is about 85%.

    Lee Quick Trim

I have a Lee breech lock press that is a dream to use. I can put the Deluxe quick trim on it and move through a pile of cases in jig time. I am more that satisfied with the results.

Roll crimping .357 further seats the bullet

Yeah, this is for seating and crimping all in the same pull. Thanks for the input everyone. I am anxious to get home and take another crack at it.

Roll crimping .357 further seats the bullet

Sometimes when I get my bullet depth all situated and I go to add a roll crimp, the act of crimping seats the bullet even further. Very frustrating. This happens when seating 357 rounds using a Hornady seating/crimp die. After I set my bullet depth I back the seating stem out to adjust the...

Lee "Perfect" Powder Measure help (directions suck)

Ha ha ha ha . . . the Lee PPM looks like something you would buy at the 99 cent store but it works as well as my Redding powder measure . . . especially with extruded powders. And yeah, it can lead like a sieve with fine flake or ball powders. You just want to make certain you don't drop your...

    First 38 special reloads.

Try a wadcutter A snub isn't going to generate enough velocity to get those hollow points to open up much. Try loading some lead HB wadcutters using 3.4 grains of your W231. Those are lots of fun to shoot and you will love seeing the big, fat holes they blow into your target.

    Swedish M96 front sights

So, I just purchased an M96 and plan to take it to the range this week for a test run. I know these rifles were originally sighted in for a battle distance of 300 meters, however, this particular rifle has a front blade on it marked as -1 which tells me it has been re-zeroed by a previous...

School me on 22 LR ammunition

Plus 1 for Mini Mags I just feel compelled to jump in here and give a big 'thumbs up' to CCI Mini Mags. I have a Browning Buck Mark that is fun to shoot but can get temperamental about what I feed it. It's favorite round is the CCI Mini Mag. They prove to be the most accurate, consistent...

whats the skinny on copper plated semi wadcutters?

I may have leaped before I looked and purchased a large box of 158 grain copper plated semi wadcutters this afternoon. What kind of experience does anyone have loading/ shooting this bullets? How do they compare to the lead version?

    On-line Savage 25 purchase . . . yea or nay?

I have never purchased a firearm over the net but now see a Savage 25 Light Weight Varmint in 223 offered for $450 by an out-of-state pawn shop that evidently does a lot of business in 'pre-owned' rifles, pistols, and revolvers and I am tempted. After an upbeat description of the rifle they...

    got the neck re-sizing blues

Thanks to everyone for responding. I haven't had a chance to work with this since my OP because work keeps getting in the way. I will tackle it weekend. Since these rounds will be chambered in a Winchester 94 I am thinking I will just FL size them and go that route. In the meantime, I will...

    got the neck re-sizing blues

I broke open my new Lee Collet 30-30 die set last night and sat down to do some reloading. After going over the directions (Lee Precision could use an upgrade to their tech writing staff by the way) I proceeded to re-size 20 cases trimmed to a length of 2.029. When I went to seat the Hornady...

    remington 341 "the sportsmaster" info?

Remington 341 I own one that was my grandfather's. The barrel markings indicate that it was manufactured in August of 1937. It is fun to shoot and very accurate. I would like to dismantle it and give it a thorough cleaning but I am leery about that until I can view a good 'how-to' on Youtube...
