Odd experience with gunsmith today... or am I being a crybaby ?

Two years???...I could have made a new 1911 from scratch...like starting with mining the iron ore out of the ground from scratch. Gun smiths are not some secret society, if you don't like the customer service then go some place else. The vast majority of mechanics can fix your car properly, you...

I have begun to notice a disturbing trend

Registration of a firearm is not defined by how easy it is to trace back to you but the fact that it can be traced back to you. State laws may vary but federal law does not vary by state. Just as a fee is not a tax and a tax is not a fee. ;)

Once I bolt the safe down how do I move it?

NEVER use the bolt as a punch. Thread damage will occur. Notice in the video that the "finger tight" needed a wrench to remove. ....so much for safety glasses and hearing protection. Bolt did not pop out, should answer any questions on being secure.

    Gun Grammar

Cannon and artillery are interchangeable. A cannon adapted for use on ships is then called a gun. No kissing in public.

A clip is a small piece of metal with a flat spring type of metal to retain rifle rounds that are used to load rifle magazines as in the M1 or M14. Clips usually have five rounds of ammo that are then inserted in to a feeder that is attached to the magazine to rapidly load the magazine.

Charged with resisting for failure to produce id

Consider this aspect...if a LEO and his department know that the local prosecutor will back them up then the path to educate a wayward LEO is long and hard. If the prosecutor typically dismisses these BS cases and sends a friendly note to the LEOs boss of the waywardness of the LEO, the...

Carrying in NC on a UT non-resident permit

A home of record may not automatically confer residency status. In Missouri we have an exemption for military stationed in Missouri yet not a Missouri resident that permits a CCW endorsement using an out of state DL. For residency status to obtain a CCW endorsement you must have residency status...

How has the General Attitude Toward Muzzle Direction Changed over the Years?

Is there such a thing as a truly safe direction? If the weapon discharges something will be hit. The key is that the "ground" is the only thing that gets hit. The muzzle will sweep something in the building when the fella behind the counter passes you a weapon. The key is that property and not...

Charged with resisting for failure to produce id

Not sure what "not being in LE or the military" has to do with any one LEO breaking the law. While it is a minority of LEOs that do these things I believe there are enough of these instances that sustains the wrongly deserved impression that all of LE is "out to get us". The responsibility is...
