    Ready for test fire . Then final sanding ( lots of sanding ) before off for some kind of finish . Trigger came out at a little under 3 lbs .

    Red dot mounting resource?

    You’re going to have to do your homework on your specific red dot that you choose and the pistol you choose. For instance the RMR/SRO screw mounting holes are too wide for 1911/2011 and Hi-Power . So you have to use a plate . The RMR has to have a sealing plate but not the SRO . Not a problem...

    Well , one side is done . Not as simple as I thought it would be . My amateur skill level and 55 year old mill probably doesn’t help .

    Personally I like the sights . Zero problems with any of them . Not much aftermarket support. So it’s do it yourself or make it yourself.

    McMaster Carr has a nice selection of safe side files to chose from . I bought the finest grit they had , about 4 inches long . A joy to use .

    FN high power

    I felt the same way . Out of the box a 9 lb gritty creepy trigger . Now it’s 4 . Novak sights and a commander hammer . Easily my best shooting open sight 9mm now .

    My lightest one yet . Much easier to keep it light with a bull barrel and larger diameter bullet
