So I'm going to get my first ar-15 or well a california-ized version anyway... I already have a Cooper Montana Varminter in .223 with a Leupold VX-3 6.5-20x40 for long range varmintin and matches and I dont like to buy 2 centerfire rifles that fit into the same category if I can aviod it. So...

Been lookin into an ar15 that california friendly, the popular FAB-10 which isnt too bad if you have some stripper clips. Then theres the less common Monster Man Grip Anyone have experience with either or both? any comments?:uhoh:

The cylinder worked fine, still smooth as any SA and yes the reciever was slightly buldged. bobby68 - rest assured this was an operator malfunction, has nothing to do with the design of the gun, infact the gunsmith said that the gun held up better than most.

oop yea forgot to add.. its a 500 S&W EDIT: and the leupold, despite a few scratches on the bottom of the maintube still works fine :) ... always was a leupold fan.

I work in a gun store and a customer came in today and brought me this gun and asked me to ship it back to the factory... He apparently shot a handload and it was a miss-fire (no powder charge) but he didnt check the barrel before firing again....

yea I believe that was actually a Mark II with an Advanced Armament Phoenix silencer, he also used a Ruger P-89/94/95/97 towards the end of the movie.

I got my Kimber Montana 308 yesterday, that kevlar stock is amazing, feels good, looks good, and wow is it light. I felt the finnlights they're nice but I dont really have a need for a hinged floor plate when hunting, and its nice to have a good high quality firearm made in USA.
