What is the most accurate Scout Rifle?

Good point about the unusual scopes. 2 MOA? That sounds like the original specs is for the Scout Rifle to engage targets somewhere at 50 yards or less. Is that a rancher thing?

What is the most accurate Scout Rifle?

The Jeff Cooper's specs for the Scout Rifle has now developed into a segment of its own in the rifle industry. So far, I am not convinced of the current implementations. I checked out Ruger and Savage and was not impressed with their accuracy at 100 yards. Both were above 1 MOA. Which, in your...

CZ Scorpion: trigger is not resetting

Trigger spring not engaged Upon field stripping it and flipping the hammer to cocking position and releasing the hammer with the thumb in between to ensure it does not slap too hard I can see that every now and then, the trigger spring does not engage to reset the trigger. Can't really see...

CZ Scorpion: trigger is not resetting

I just brought my new Scorpion to the range today and after the first 10 shots, the trigger does not reset anymore. I had to manually flip it forward to reset it. The trigger will reset only if: I point the gun 45 degrees to the sky and cycle the bolt at hand-recycling speed (i.e...

Trigger comparison: BHP vs Sig SAO

My understanding is that the 9mm shoehorned into a 1911 is, generally, thought to have somehow decreased its reliability. This, of course, came from the understanding that the 1911 was designed for the 45ACP cartridge. Furthermore, I know not one single police department that use a 9mm 1911.

Trigger comparison: BHP vs Sig SAO

I have no problems shooting G20 and G29's; so, thickness is not an issue. Just itching for a similar trigger system similar to a 1911 but at a 9mm caliber.

Trigger comparison: BHP vs Sig SAO

New, they are both about the same price: $950-$1050 range. So, if I am lazy, the Sig is the way to go, then.

    Henry's H010 45-70 Govn't

Does anyone know what's the safe but unofficial pressure limit this rifle can take? Some metallurgy guru said a Marlin 1895G can take up to 40,000 PSI. The official word from the manufacturer is SAAMI standard, which is no more than 28,000 PSI.

    HELP: Decisions about hunting rifle

Wow, another possibility. I am seeing a lot of nice reviews about the guaranteed 1 MOA accuracy from Thompson Center Venture and Dimension series. They have 5R rifling and DBM.
