Does your AR15 run on steel cased ammo?

Yes... BCM upper on PSA lower, if my firearms do not shoot steel reliably then I sell them as that is mostly what I use. Had a Stag 3 that hated it.

    New AKs imported by M+m

I have one I picked up from buds a couple months ago. I want to like it as it fits well, I like the sights and the trigger is nice enough but I think I have been having bad luck with it failing to feed... hopefully it is just a mag issue. The plastic one that is included will fail to feed and...

    223

Saiga 223 and Kel Tec Su16 are decent options for semi-auto in the price range around 400 you mentioned. I picked up my Saiga for $350 after looking around. The Su16's are a bit more, never owned the su16 just got to shoot one at the range once. Both are better options than the mini IMHO, just...

Price for a used Ruger 10/22 carbine?

Maybe it is just around here, but I have seen the "old" 10/22's (pre 2007/08??) going for more than new, usually around $250+ on the local sites. Maybe it's because I have heard a lot of people got upset when Ruger started making the receiver and barrel with the matte finish and more plastic...

    hk93 brass question.

My hk93 flings brass about 25' at 2 o’clock in front of the firing line so I do not get a chance to see the spent cases very often. Today a shell bounced off my spotting scope and got a chance to look at it and the neck was bent and fouling showing the flutes from the chamber. So I borrow a...

    Thoughts on a CAI C93 (hk93 clone)

I purchased my C93 new from JG a few months ago to keep the round count lower on my HK93, took it to the range and was a single-shot and would FTE every round with three different types of ammo. I called up CAI and had an RA# by the end of the day. About two weeks later it was back at my door...

    7.62x39 ammo identification

Was thinking someone might have come across this ammo and might know the maker or country of origin may be. I really would like to figure out if it's old surplus and corrosive or not. It's stamped 7.62x39 and has a symbol/maker mark or lettering but cannot really tell. I tried to get the best...

    ammo identification

Thanks all, looks like I need to start looking for a Mauser now..... have seen some RC K98's floating around the gun shows and they only look to get more expensive each time I go so finding the ammo must me a sign. Thanks again...

    ammo identification

Thanks for the input, as far as markings on the bottom of the case, there are some symbols but nothing that looks numerical. I'll see if I can get a pic to focus later tonight.

    ammo identification

Not sure if this is the right forum for this so let me know if I need to move it, but it looks like rifle ammo so I thought I would start here. Found this box (see attachment) in a gun case I purchased at a gun show a while back and was not completely sure what it was. From looking around...

    Old ammunition

I've been using 38 special from the 30's with no problem. One of the boxes looks like it had gotten wet at some point and the cases had serious corrosion so I disposed of those, but all the rest are going ok. I also use 50's manufacture 7.62x54r as x39 as well. With any cartridge I visually...

    D/FW

Downtown Dallas here... Up for a group range day anytime. Usually go to Gibson's as they allow FMJ and have something out past 100yds. Never had a problem with anyone there and have met some friendly people as well. Any other range suggestions are great as well as.. I'll check out that yahoo...
